Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu, is presently asking the Congress
for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans . Interesting number, what
does it mean?

A. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans

(every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.

(I checked this longhand, and it is true)

B. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in
New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.

C. Or, if you are a family of four, your family
gets $2,066,012.

Washington , D.C .. HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

Although 250 billion is bloody alot... although had FEMA been under proper management, and the gov't down there in New Orleans wasnt so damn corrupt, well it wouldnt have been this big of a catastrophe.

BUT if you want to talk about waste of money, New Orleans is not the place to look at. Just LOOK at how much is wasted in that stupid war in Iraq. How much spending is going on there???? How about the military budget? Want to talk about waste of money? Go look there. and while you are at it, check out other wastes of money called 'pig' projects in the gov't gets involved. All sorts of things gov't pays for but it gets nowhere, b/c some of that money goes into gov't croney's pockets.
