So, would you be so kind as to tell me about the faire? What's it all about? That way, this upcoming weekend I can wish you an even heartier "hope you have a good time".

Wacky fun!

Yes, but if by some outlandish chance my roommate or anyone else in that picture found out I'd posted a picture of them on the internet without their permission, I'd likely be impaled on a bo-staff (and Derek's got three to spare).

Hell hath no fury like a roommate pranked.

I have a thing about trying to plan ahead. having plans slightly organized when groups are involved. There's probably a link to the site about the faire, but I'm far to tired to look for it. maybe someone else has it.

how's that for organized?

The current plan is we're meeting at 9:45 at the main enterance and then at 12 noon by the big fountain for lunch and then at 2:45 for the joust, but that doesn't apply to you and I because we'll already be with Ash.

I'm going to google her address later to get directions.

When are you planning on arriving Friday?

Ah Miss President is always organized.
Well, it's a three hour drive for me, depending on when I leave work, I can usually cut and run early. If I pack all my needs ahead of time, Gifts, Clothing, etc., I could be there relatively early. however you said you'd arrive around 9:00. I considered waiting and trying to get there around the same time, but traffic here heading North on a Fri. after 4:00 really bites. so, I might leave by 4:00 get there 'round 7:00. Have to check with Ash, make sure she'll be around and prepared to receive guests by then.

Anything 'citing goin' on with anyone else?

P.S. Did you get your ice cream, CMS? The apple pie one? I missed out on coldstone (ah, well, just have to go later) but I got ben and jerry's--yummm... All in honor of Eat Ice Cream Night.

(over here they're all serious and researchy, so sugars and anything else that didn't exist at the time is banned.)

But they have photos of the coolest cake on that site. And busty girls in fairy wings. Ss theres something there for all comers....

Glittery maybe.

But I learned at D*C how very annoying faeries can be, wings always poking at you and bumping you. So, I don't want wings, because if I wore them, everyone would get aggravated at me because I'd turn suddenly and knock their glasses off their face.

JadeHand! Guess what I just did!

Yes, I booked a room for D*C.

Only (don't hurt me).....

They were booked all up for Sunday night on Con rooms. Not sure what to do about that. I could rent a room that night at the regular rate, which would cost us all more, or we can all cram into two rooms, yours and Cozen's, which sounds cramped. Or I could find a room at another hotel and we can all move, which is a bother.

Well, I can't imagine too many of the boys would be upset to have all you ladies join us. I can't believe they are already booked. Grr! see? this is why you were supposed to do this in FEB. How much more is it for the Sun. room if they don't give you the con rate? If it's way too much, I'll make room for all of you in my bed. Oh, don't take that the wrong way, by Sun. I'm sure I'll be far too tired for that. But I could be encouraged by interested parties.

The Hyatt is COMPLETELY booked, and the Marriot is out of Con priced rooms, but out of desperation, I booked a room for one night at the marriot at the regular rate and since it's MY FAULT for not booking in Feb when I was supposed to (taking ownership, JadeHand, do you see?) I'll pay the difference.

Thank God for tax retruns.

I can always cancel the marriot room if it turns out we don't need it.

There, that's the best I could do.

Seryn,
I believe I may have found your problem. Tis you! You do not know now to properly sleep in a sleeping bag. First of all, no drawstrings! That is nothing but cause for unpleasantness. I don't like those cocoon bags, that taper down at the bottom. but that's because I can't sleep with my legs laid out all nice and proper. I've usually got one tucked into the other, one foot nestled into one knee or something.

When I sleep in a sleeping bag, I find that it is essential to have my feet all the way down at the bottom, one in each corner. Then I can scrunch the top up so that I can use part of it to rest my pillow upon (being short has advantages) and the rest can cover my head (which is nice, too, when you're in the woods and it's a bit chilly.) The zipper must always be completely zipped and at my left side. Not my right.

And thus arrayed, I can lay on my tummy, tuck my arms under my pillow and I'm snug as a bug. Back in my pre-yoga back pain days, I'd sometimes find my bed untolerable and would drag my sleeping back out and sleep on the floor.

I like sleeping bags. Mine is very soft on the inside. My brother got it for me and he's nice.
