As he sees it, piercings can be taken out, tatts are permanent. Guess he has a point. I actually have 12 piercings in my ears and a belly ring. Going for 13th and 14th ones in my ears this weekend. :biggrin:

Ah, loads of earrings. I think I might have seen a pic or two of that (though a refresher is always nice).

All good questions. Most people wear a bar in their tongue like this:

The rounded balls on the ends serve both to keep the bar in place and to keep it from poking as you pointed out. I have had it for 6+ years now, so I hardly notice it, unless some jerkwad manager is telling me to take it out (again with the 'unprofessional'). Eyebrow piercings (similarly, lip and nipple piercings) do get caught on things, which can be painful if in a hurry (I once knew a guy who had his nipple ring ripped out as we played Ultimate Frisbee). The fact that I have young children is one of the reasons I don't have any 'exterior' piercings.

Ya know, I understand completely. I applaud the fact of you wanting to 'keep your body a temple' so to speak. And also wanting to not let loose totally. Sometimes I think if I had been thinking a lil more, maybe I wouldn't be so riddled with piercings, but they all have their own reasons and meaning. Still think you'd look good with an earring. :wink:

I have 3, one on the lower back. Once on my front lower ab, and then one on top of it as a cover. I want another. I had originally decided to get the same serenity logo above, but the one from NZ (I think) that has the chinese running up and down - but so is everyone else it seems. I also wanted a dragon on the other side of my lower ab, with a tail that wrapped around my belly button. But then I got that pierced. So I will get one, just don't know what.

Anyway that was a long way to say, beware, beware, beware! I keep mine in places they can not be seen in polite company, that way I am limited as to how many I can get.

edit: sorry to ruin dinner with the sight of my big ass, but its the only way I can show my tatt :crap:

FMF, what a wicked sweet tatt! That is exactly where I want my 'Serenity' tatt. I kinda wanna see if I can design my own since that one Serenity logo seems so popular and I'm not one to go with the crowd (big surprise, huh).

These pics were just taken tonight. My friend, Wily, was laying in my lap taking pics of how ridiculously bored and grumpy I was watching the guys play Halo. I didn't even notice, that's how stuck in boredom I was! Excuse how terrible I look, it was a long night. :crap:

On a serious note - I have a friend, a good friend. She is the other half of my brain (which considering MSG is half of my brain means I actually have none cause they have it all) Anyway, she is a few years (5 or 6) younger than me and after a life full of tragedies and complications she fell in love. Online. They met, love grew deeper, they moved in together and she got pregnant. When she was 7 months pregnant he kissed her goodbye one morning, went to work and died of a massive coronary at the age of 38.

I tell you this because when I say this is the most beautiful baby in the world - I really mean it. Browncoat family - meet Avery Drew

She is about 2 weeks old now and mom and baby are doing great!
