Succatash-
Tash, Tash, Tash. I hope that's not the "finger" of your "Strange Finger" site...

I sent you an email, but for the curious:

Did you fart?
Ni3 fang4 pi4 ma5?
You release fart QUESTION

Traditional: 你放屁嗎?
Simplified: 你放屁吗? (only "ma" is different)

You can see the characters here: http://zhongwen.com/

Yeah, I'm sorry. But at the time, the question seemed silly and I felt very compelled to provide a silly answer. 请原谅我。

Just a note... "ni3 fang4 pi4 ma5" sounds fairly awkward to my ears. You need a "le5" in there, as in "ni3 fang4 pi4 le5 ma5?"

without the "le" in the sentence, it becomes a general, "Do you fart?" the "le" makes it past tense, as though responded to an actual situation. 你放屁了嗎? I kind of like the phrase without the "le" in it. Kind of like, "got milk?"
