It's why I've decided to look for a local job working at an amimal shelter Wish.

If I start working part time again, even 20 hours a week, I get $198 a month tax free in food stamps. If I get food stamps, I can go to AT&T and get a 12MB/PS connection for $10 a month instead of the $50 I'm paying Comcast. I already got rid of my $60/mo cell phone and pay $100 every 5 years for Magic Jack. Come November 1st, I get to apply for an eventual nearly $400 "gas credit" on my energy bills.

In the mean time, since I'm unemployed now, my HIP is costing me $1/mo.

THIS is a HUGE reason why the "Inner City" problem will never be fixed Wish.

I haven't worked a single day in the last 20 or so months. As a single guy, if I found a job making 30k a year, I would lose almost all of the foodstamps, I wouldn't get any energy assistance and my co-pay for healthcare after subsidies would be 1/6th of my yearly pay. That means any minimum wage job I'm working, at least 2 months of my work there every week in those 2 months did nothing but pay for my health insurance.

In the mean time, I'm not working and my health insurance costs me $1 fucking dollar per month.

Why make 30k a year?

I'm just looking for a job mopping up dog shit at an animal shelter now.

That "Precipice" is WAY too FUCKING low for anybody from the depths to want to crawl out of them unless they're all of the sudden super YouTube or otherwise famous.

In the mean time, I have absolutely zero desire and zero incentive to rise above my current position.

My Step Dad is Mexican. He owns his own business that is currently thriving but has had its share of ups and downs. He was the youngest, by 20 years, of a Literal cotton picker, and they grew up in a fucking Train Boxcar in Illinois. HIs family was always nice to me but we didn't hang out with them much. Found out later that somehow "We/we" made them feel like "second class citizens".

My Step Dad's Brother's Wife made REAL Tacos and we all watched Wrestlemania (back when Undertaker was still a thing). I was the oldest brother at the time and I was 9 years old. My future Step Dad was teaching me Kenpo, a martial arte.

Everyone there seemed real nice to me and I liked them. But my Step Dad was teh youngest in the family by decades and my mom was the 2nd "White" woman he married. He speaks better English than most of my friends in school.

Their hatred for him was racist hatred.

I really liked all of them.

It's a fucking shame they hated me On Arrival.

Is it any wonder my Step Dad is against Illegal Immigration?

His Dad was a legal immigrant, and he had 10 kids and raised them in a fucking box-car picking cotton in Southern Illinois.

My Step-Dad always insults his own intelligence when we talk, but he never gives himself enough credit. He retired as a Project Manager for "Ma Bell" which ended up "Ameritech". He did that without ever having any contacts, a college education, or really, the story of how he got it is pretty amazing and I don't feel worthy telling it.

Even though he didn't be a part of their later years, though he wanted to, but divorce fucks everything up (ask me how I know).

As "stupid" as my step dad is, his daughter is a very successful General Surgeon married to a Neuro-Surgeon today. She's only 1/2 Mexican, she was just a "c"-hair away from being on the Olympic Gymnastic team in the 90s, and she's aging now, but was once Supermodel Hot.

My Step Dad never got any credit for how amazing his daughter was and is. Not from her, not from her family, not from his family, not from society.

I grew up in between TWO AMAZING MEN.... but the problem was that between 14 and 22 years old I made very poor choices. I always kept my friends out of trouble and/or jail, and never went there myself, but that was the "BEST" I could say of 8 wasted years....

I don't hate either of them.

I'm just saying that My Step Dad was 100% Mexican "trash". An "accident" that was 20 years after his youngest brother....

He and my mom made their own Mom and Pop Shop. They restore furniture, and he is a fucking artistic genius with that spray booth. I'm not joking... You meet some kid who the pride and joy of his life is the finish on his racing car, that's what my step dad can do for any piece of furniture you bring into his shop.

Outside "Costs" of their business?

He's already of retirement age. My mom isn't. Her insurance every month 3 years ago was around $100/month. Today, they have to pay over $270/month for her insurance per month, and with the November 15th Obamacare Increase, they'll be paying about $360 a month for my mom's health insurance.

Imangine, if you will, how many more hours per month you'd have to work for a $90/Month hike in premiums...

I fucking loved his family, and we barely ever see them. Because I guess when we're out of earshot, I'm just part of the "2nd White Family" that bastardizes them.

Maybe I am now. I'll admit that.

But we all hung out a few times and had 100% fucking Natural Mexican Tacos and watched a few Wrestlemanias together (even though I was a REAL Wresstler and just enjoyed what it was like when my REAL old man ruined my imagination when I was like 3 years old)...

I was looking forward to the next one, and it never fucking happened. Because my Step Dad spoke with Perfect English and not a bullshit/fake accent and made them feel bad, especially since he married 2 white women.

And on top of that, I don't think I can even talk him into voting for Trump. He's voting 3rd party this time. I love him so much, and he lives in Illinois, so there is zero point arguing him. He might as well do a write in vote for Spongebob Squarepants for President. Hillary already had Illinois before the campaign even started.

Unfortunately, I can't find the commercial they've been running locally for suburban Cubs fans during the ball games. My old man said he saw it three times before he actually read his name at the bottom and realized that it was his ex-wife's sister's husband. It's been about 30 years since they've seen each other...

Here's an earlier commercial they did. This mother fucker was the Comediean in the family who bought me a pair of Dallas Cowboys Footy PJs for Christmas when I was like 4 years old because everyone on both sides of my family were die hard Bears fans. and the Bears won like a year later.... :)

I really feel that I have to come out a 2nd time and speak up for my Uncle Bob.

I know in the video shown he wasn't the most Charismatic Person Ever Born, but that's probably why he was my favorite uncle growing up. He was the only Uncle I had who said "Fuck the Norm" wihout ever swearing about it. I was a HUGE fan of SONY products in the late 90s, but he pointed out the question "Why?" And I had no legitimate answer other than "It's SONY dude!!!"...

He's always been Mildly OKAY with everything. If you've ever watched "Curb Your Enthusasm", that's my Uncle, although he's successful enough that he can coast on the Good things without ever having to dwell on the bad things.

His youngest son, who thought I was a God when I used to toss him around and do push ups with him sitting on my back in the 90s is a Washington politician now. His oldest son is wondering what his future holds, but he's held several political positions already and even ran for mayor in a prominant town. He only got 11% in a 4 way race, but he was only 25 years old and unmarried and not the incumbent when he did so.

His insight is the reason why I know that outside of HUGE COLLEGE TOWNS with nothing outside of campus are drug dens for Meth these days. Kids at college don't do the meth, so it's very rarely a college problem. It's a "Townie" problem.

He doesn't drink. He doesn't do drugs.

I hope he doesn't get mad at me because of where I'm going with this...

"Nondisabled nonelderly adults living in households without children can receive benefits only if they work or participate in qualifying work-related
activities," the USDA explains. "With certain exceptions, those who do not meet these work requirements are restricted to 3 months of SNAP benefits in any 36-month period."

So, in the end, it doesn't matter how many children immigrants have; the law will protect the American worker. Problem solved. Otherwise you're just spinning your wheels.
