OK, Trump iz clearly not qualified in any way to be prezident uv the United States uv America, But you arent very enthuziastic about Hillary either, so wut to do?

If you are still a Republican (hehehehe!) you know the gig iz up if The Donald winz kuz he will surely drive us into the same ditch that Bush did only faster, so your choise iz simple - stay home on election day. He wuznt going to win anyway, so you can at least say you didnt vote for him and hope thingz go bad during Hillaryz tenure.

If you are a Dem or independent, maybe I can convins you that this iz an opportunity to finally break the stranglehold the 2 partyz hav had on America forever.

This iz why it exists. Wen nun uv the candidates are akseptibl, but there iz sumwun you believ can do the job, just rite the name. It bypassez the entire groteskly bloated money fueled monstrosity that the election prosess haz bekum.

Most of the people who use guns for bad things never registered their guns and would never register their guns. I'd be willing to bet even if you could figure out who had them, most people who own them illegally wouldn't be able to afford a GIT tax anyhow. The GIT by itself will not hav an immediate direct effect on illegal gunz. It will reduse proliferation, so over a long period, perhaps decadez, the saturation level will go down, making it progressivly more difficult and expensiv for the bad guyz to get gunz.

Plus, wen they do get arrested they will be fasing a big bill and tax evasion charjez.

I figure there will be alot uv surplus money jenerated by the system and it will be uzed to run a buy back program. That will definitely akselerate the reduction in illegal gunz az the ner'-do-wellz turn in their hardware and their associate's to hav money for drugz.

It seems to me to be something that would not only put an undue burden on law abiding citizens, but potentially make criminals of them down the road as well. Not for owning the guns, or even using them for self defense one day, but for tax evasion once they use them within their legal right to defend their house or their property.

I own a gun. I've owned it for over 8 years. I've never once fired it. In fact, I've never even loaded it and chances are the box of bullets might not even be good anymore. I've only cleaned it several times, and both times I made sure my brother who was in the military was there to supervise. I've lived in 2 states while owning that gun where there is no requirement to register a firearm. There are requirements to get registered for conceal and carry, but I do not carry it. Honestly, it scares me J0. I keep it in a safe and rarely think about it. (I did check to make sure I knew where the bullets were before election day though, just in case any rioting got out of hand and made it to my street).

What you're talking about would require MORE federal power. The power to tell the states that they all have to require firearms to be registered.

Also, good luck getting any money out of the criminals that use the guns. When I was brutally beaten and stabbed, it didn't matter that we knew who did it. When it came to getting money for paying for the hospital bill, both the police and the lawyer said it would be foolish to attempt to try to get any money from the person who stabbed me, and instead go after the homeowner because they had the homeowner's insurance that would pay. Unless you're talking about taking people's houses from them or their families to pay for these charges, you're not going to get any money from the criminals.

Nothing wrong with buy-back programs though.

I'm sure I talked about the beating here before. Thought maybe you read about it. It happened when I was 19 years old. Four guys beat the piss out of me. I didn't even know I was stabbed until I got into my car and I felt the seat was wet behind me. That was a fun night :)

Believe it or not, I was defending a woman's honor.

Don't go lumping me in with irresponsible gun owners. I have a healthy fear of it. I always treat it as if it were loaded, even though in 8 years I've never loaded it.

I've always intended to get proper training, and I would never even take it outside of my house until I did (except of course, when I was on the way to get said training). My brother and I have talked about going to the range for years but never gotten around to it. If I were irresponsible, I would go get my conceal and carry license now and start walking around with it. As of right now, it stays locked away in a safe, out of the reach of anyone. There is not a chance in hell that my niece could ever get her hands on it.

You want to change a gun law, now here's one I would agree with you on. I don't believe that you should be able to get a conceal and carry license without being able to pass a firearms safety exam and be able to prove a certain level of marksmanship in a live test.

As it is now, I meet the only three requirements to get it. I am old enough. I have lived in the state for over a year. I don't have a felony on my record.

I think that is ridiculous.

I suspect there are others for serving any US govt position that would include president as a subset that would exclude traitors, felons, etc. I doubt they would include the clinically insane among their prohibitions. 753 could still run, even if blocked from serving. No one has ever tested what happens if you win. McCain almost did, as the Canal Zone was technically Panama until the year after he was born.

I suspect Jo can run, but doesn't seem to have gotten enough support here, so I don't know where it's coming from.

The thing I rarely see in any prezidential candidate iz imajination. No orijinal ideaz, no injeneus solutionz to big problemz.

Even Obama seemz spars on orijinality. He wuz big on continuity, even wen it wuz obvious (at least to me) that patching up an existing system woud only prolong problemz bilt into the foundation.
