I find the tactics that the Dems are using to delay and obstruct the process quite inventive, considering that they don't have the vote. Aside from the constant shouting from the gallery, the Dems have managed to ...

Demand endless reams of paperwork from Kavanaugh's history in the Bush WH,
Delay allegations of sexual misconduct until VERY late in the process,
Then demand a public hearing,
And then change their stance and demand a "full FBI investigation" as soon as a public hearing was acceded to.

Now, I have no idea whether the allegations are true or false. (But if we were to follow THUGR's stance of letting Clinton's bygones be bygones, I suppose we could let this 30-year old allegation also be lost in the mists of history. Right?)

But I'd be willing to bet SOME dollars that if you were to look into this professor's activities, you'd find her working with Democratic Senators in the past six months or so, working out the timing and tactics for maximum effect.

BRAVO!

So, what about posting something relevant and intelligent about Kavanaugh? What do you think about his qualifications? Do you have any opinions about his political leanings? What about his apparent deference to the unreachability of the President? Does he believe in the Unitary Executive?

Or is it BEYOND YOU to bring anything to the table besides name-calling?

Pretty simple for me: If these Republicans and this president picked him then he's got stink all over him. I do believe he's been lying, and will continue to lie. I believe this is Trump yet again protecting Trump's big fat *ss. I also believe he's just another member of the Republican white male Boys Club. I keep waiting for your outrage over this kind of backward sexist bias - guess I'll have to keep waiting.

I want to tie 2 things into one:

1. Pretty obvious the Supreme Court has become too political, especially since Mitch McConnell.

2. Did anyone else notice that Grassley and Hatch and Biden were part of the Clarence Thomas hearings??? 27 freaking years ago! That's ridiculous!

Together those both point to one thing for me: TERM LIMITS. Can't happen soon enough. Congress is suppose to be about service, not a lifetime career, and SC needs to be more flexible with the times for it to be lifetime.

I was pretty outraged over the way Anita Hill was treated, but the DEMS trampled all over her and approved Thomas' appointment because ... yanno ... black. Identity politics at its finest. They got paid back for it because Thomas turned out to be somewhere to the right of Genghis Kahn. Well done, Biden!

I think Professor Ford deserves a hearing, under oath. If the Dems hadn't been so anxious to play politics with her allegation, then the matter could have been heard and debated over a longer period of time.

Quote:

secret letter to Senate Democrats accusing U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
When was this sent and received? Why was it not brought up as soon as possible?

Quote:

Ford said she escaped when one of Kavanaugh's friends at Georgetown Preparatory School jumped on top of them.
Was this the same friend who watched? Or a different friend?

Quote:

Ford said she told no one of the incident in any detail until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. The therapist’s notes, portions of which were provided by Ford and reviewed by The Washington Post, do not mention Kavanaugh’s name but say she reported that she was attacked by students “from an elitist boys’ school” who went on to become “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington.” The notes say four boys were involved, a discrepancy Ford says was an error on the therapist’s part. Ford said there were four boys at the party but only two in the room.
Ford couldn't remember the house, but if she could ID the other two boys maybe they can provide more details.

Quote:

On the advice of Katz, who said she believed Ford would be attacked as a liar if she came forward, Ford took a polygraph test administered by a former FBI agent in early August. The results, which Katz provided to The Post, concluded that Ford was being truthful when she said a statement summarizing her allegations was accurate.
Ford believes she's telling the truth. Did she know the boys well? Or at least, well enough to be able to properly ID who was doing what? Was she drunk at the time?

Right now it's a "he said- she said" story since "the friend" says he doesn't remember anything like that but supposedly drank a lot and was subject to blackouts. Did Kavanaugh have a history of drinking a lot at that time? Her story is vague about the location and time; it would help if there were some kind of corroborating testimony. I believe that she believes she's telling the truth, but she may be mistaken.

Not sure what to think about term limits for the Supreme Court or for ANY position. I think the record is mixed on whether or not it reduces corruption and the role of money in politics; and we have no evidence at all on whether it would reduce the role of politics in the judiciary. The only reason why it sounds like a good idea to you now is because you don't like the current makeup of the SC. If the SC had a more liberal bent, I'm sure you'd want to see those judges in place until they had at least one foot in the grave, and maybe more!

Ok, you're not a dem or repub.

So let's just discuss the idea of "term limits" (in general) on its merits.

There are different things at play for term-limiting elected officials versus appointed officials.

In a perverse way, I think term limits ENHANCE the role money in elections by forcing people to run as challengers rather than as incumbents, which means they will need (on the average) MORE money for their campaign rather than less. Also, term limits mean that politicians are usually inexperienced ... they don't know how to hold meetings, how to run committees, how to write legislation, and quite often wind up relying on lobbyists to help them. We had that problem in our State Legislature when term limits were first implemented; we had a whole bunch of "freshmen" legislators who needed to be told what to do every step of the way. It was political kindergarten.

For appointed officials, there are three factors at work:
1) The "cycle" of elections may leave a lasting political bias in the judiciary.
2) People DO get old and senile!
3) People who've been around a long time can form an "old boy's" (or "old gal's") network in which old ideas are never challenged.

Same thing as Trump. If he's so innocent, then why not call for the FBI to investigate this latest allegation and clear his name. Seems very simple and
straightforward to me.

The delay in revealing the accuser was due to the woman wanting to keep her
identity private. Feinstein tried to keep her promise in not revealing her
identity, but something happened to open that Pandora's Box. She knew, as did
the Democrats, that this latest fiasco with Kavanaugh was a set up from the beginning. Plus anyone that Trump picks is automatically a scumbag from the
rich Republican House of Pain.

She knew that the Russian Troll Dept. would be working overtime to smear her name, threaten both her and her family, hack her email, etc. And now those fucking cowards - Hatch, McConnell and Grassley - don't have the balls to follow regular order and call for an investigation into the allegations
against that dickhead Kavanaugh.

The FBI did investigate Clarence Thomas when Anita Hill brought charges of sexual and physical assault against him. It took solely 3 days. The Rotten Three, as I call them, have challenged Dr. Ford to appear before the
Committee, either in private or public session, but without any witnesses or
properly conducted investigation as in the Thomas case. The instant case is
a carbon copy of the Thomas/Hill case, whereby the man's conduct has been
called into question.

Just for you Siggy - the man is innocent until proven guilty. I, at least,
offer up that much. But not Hatch and Grassley. They both have commented
in the negative against Dr. Ford, the accuser). Fuck those two. Funny thing
is that these two hypocrites were all about the investigation when Hill
stated her charges against Thomas (another douchebag). This is so ridiculous.

All those in favor of drinking the Kool-aid, the line forms behind Siggy.

I confess that I haven't been following the hearings all that closely, but if anything had been found so far I'm sure NPR would be trumpeting it for days...

The Dems want to stall the appointment as long as possible because (1) If Kavanaugh is not in place when the Supreme Court begins its news session and starts oral arguments, he can't rule on any of the cases later and (2) on the off-chance that the Dems take the Senate, his approval is toast.

If the FBI can investigate this quickly ... and I've already brought up a list of sample questions to ask and avenues to pursue ... then by all means, investigate. But apparently the FBI isn't willing to investigate and Ford isn't willing to testify under oath either privately OR in public, so the Senate Judiciary committee can't investigate either. This was badly bungled by Feinstein; she should have made it clear to Ford that there are no such things as "half complaints" and Ford should have either withdrawn her complaint or gone forward with Feinstein pushing for an investigation.

I feel sorry for Ford. She took her personal doubts and fears into a highly politicized environment and was entirely unprepared for the blowback. Somebody should have given her much better advice on the consequences, especially Feinstein, who was in the best position to steer this.

Seems awful convenient that in the 11th hour of the guy getting sworn in that all of the sudden some random woman comes out and makes a baseless claim that this guy attempted to rape her over 30 years ago.

I find it hilarious that they wanted the FBI to investigate this as well. How could anybody possibly investigate any of this now?

Good in some ways - Incumbents get far too many votes just by being incumbents. People recognize the name but have no clue about their record.

Campaign finance limits solves all of that, "more money" thing. Those are long overdue as well.

Yup! The world changes too fast for people to be permanently there until death, 30 years? Insane, backward, small minded. We can do better.

Yale Law dean: Reports that professor groomed female clerks for Kavanaugh 'of enormous concern'

According to reports in The Guardian, the Huffington Post and Above the Law, Amy Chua, a professor at the law school, would advise students on their physical appearance if they wanted to seek a clerkship for Kavanaugh. Specifically, Chua would help potential applicants to have a "model-like" appearance.

So much like Miss Teen USA, walk in on naked teenage girls and brag about it, Blumpy.

The DEMS were in control of the Senate, and (more importantly) in control of the Judiciary Committee at the time. There were (by your count) 57 Democrats in the Senate and 43 Republicans. So what happened???

Looks like Math happened. Reps voted 4 to 1 to put Thomas on the bench. Your comment that "it was the Dems, 'cuz Black" was as full of sh*t as you typically are. You either lied or were just wrong.

Yanno, not sure anyone has mentioned this to you, but you don't have to be full of sh*t. You can be honest - it's an option. If you try it you might find that you end up building an argument that lasts a few pages without being shot down like a Russian plane over Syria.

Is anyone here surprised Jack the perv doesn't give a hoot about the possible attempted rape of this woman. I'm not, nope, I'm not surprised at all. Are you surprised REAVERFAN?

T

Seems awful convenient that in the 11th hour of the guy getting sworn in that all of the sudden some random woman comes out and makes a baseless claim that this guy attempted to rape her over 30 years ago.

I find it hilarious that they wanted the FBI to investigate this as well. How could anybody possibly investigate any of this now?

You're an easily manipulated idiot. It doesn't surprise me one bit that you're willing to believe 100% that this happened, especially since you don't like the pick and you'll cling to any idea that might keep him from being sworn in.

Do Right, Be Right. :)

I recall a babe I had sex with in 1982. She raved on and on. Maybe now, if she is employed at a basement barrel school, she could change her tune and say I raped her, sevaral times, or at least once.

It is appalling that some women, many of whom clamor to be allowed to make decisions about their body, or make decisions about when they have intercourse, or who they make love with, can support women who, after decades, can be so retroactively indecisive about other teenagers.

Maybe this bimbo can claim it happened in Indiana, so he can be convicted.

Why has Lena Done'um not accused Kavanaugh yet? What's the holdup?

Well, we have a policy at work and it's a good one: All complaints AUTOMATICALLY go to our legal department. You can't half-complain. You either complain with the point of following thru, or you STFU.

Have you ever been raped or sexually assaulted?...if no, then you STFU. You don't know what this woman has been through. You seem to follow the "company" line - men say such things, the scumbags at least (you know, like your Orange fucking leader). I haven't been attacked either, but I did work with battered
women as part of my training (and did community work for a year). Plus the fact that experts in the field state that women who experience sexual assault

For whatever reason, the FBI has refused to investigate.

Let me let you in on a little-known secret. You know that I at the end of FB
in the title, it stands for Investigate. Another little known fact, the
president can request that the FBI conduct an investigation. Plus if both
Kavanaugh and Grassley want to "clear" his name, they can request an official
investigation by writing a letter - Kav to the committee, and the committee to
the president. Also, if the president wants to clear his name, he could call
for the investigation. Why not? He likes bossing people around. So, it's
curious that all - Kav, the prez or those dickheads from the Judiciary
Committee - have flat out refused to request the FBI to move forward and do
what they've been trained to do - namely investigate.

I'm going to break up my response at this point because, well, I want to:

Quote:

But not after calling him "automatically a scumbag from the rich Republican House of Pain" and a "dickhead"

I do that because it's fun.

Quote:

So far, the Dems have not found anything in his decisions or writings that indicate ideological extremism.

Well, that right there...it's not entirely true.

ore-kavanaugh-nomination-hearings-bush-lawyer-releases-42000-pages-of-documents-to-judiciary-committee/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.3aaefbc49311

Withheld documents that did not allow the Dems on the JC to properly review ahead of the Kav' hearing. Scumbag politics at it's most effective.

"Democrats argue that senators should make the same demands of Mr. Kavanaugh as they did of Justice Elena Kagan during her confirmation proceedings. Ms. Kagan served President Bill Clinton before joining the federal bench; senators received records from her White House tenure. Republicans counter that Mr. Kavanaugh’s work as staff secretary was not comparable; his job was more about keeping documents flowing in the right directions at the right times, not offering substantive contributions to the policy questions crossing his desk."

I have more, but you get the picture, right?

Talk about scumbag moves:

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate should not confirm a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia until after the 2016 election — an historic rebuke of President Obama’s authority and an extraordinary challenge to the practice of considering each nominee on his or her individual merits."

Wrong! Have you heard this from Director Wray? No...it came from the full of shit mouth of Trump. He, the imposter prez, can order an investigation, but he doesn't want to chance it. What if they find that he is a fellow scumbag and
actually did attack Ford when he was a teen? That would be bad. He wants this
nominee to be approved yesterday, because he's afraid of what Mueller has in
his briefcase stock full of binders with details.

Quote:

and Ford isn't willing to testify under oath either privately OR in public, so the Senate Judiciary committee can't investigate either.

False and False!!! Her attorney has been negotiating with the Committee for days now, but they insist that she appear Monday (the 24th) without any other witnesses or without a proper investigation as to her charges. They want a "he said, she said" hearing...then "we will vote on Wednesday." Seems pretty cut and dried to me. Quick, clean, efficient....and totally bogus. That is not
how it's normally done. Fucking McConnell, you slug!

Quote:

This was badly bungled by Feinstein; she should have made it clear to Ford that there are no such things as "half complaints" and Ford should have either withdrawn her complaint or gone forward with Feinstein pushing for an investigation.

Now, a few days ago, I would have agreed with you (that Feinstein bungled this), but I heard that Feinstein did bring the letter to the attention of
the FBI. I'm not sure what took place after that, but she did try to report
the incident. She did push for an investigation, she still does, but Grassley
(that slime) has blocked any effort to investigate or get to the bottom of this. Delay!? The most it would take is a week (according to officials).
But Trump refuses to submit to the normal protocol, as per usual. So, he lies.
He says that the FBI doesn't do that...what exactly, investigate? And that they don't want to...I have not heard that from Director Wray or any FBI
official, nor from DOJ.

I feel sorry for Ford.

She took her personal doubts and fears into a highly politicized environment and was entirely unprepared for the blowback. Somebody should have given her much better advice on the consequences, especially Feinstein, who was in the best position to steer this.

Yeah, she wasn't fully prepared to do this, and who's to say that Feinstein
didn't warn her (I know, you're saying that), but this is why she's scrambling
to prepare herself (under trying conditions) to move forward. I give her and her team credit for girding their loins for the battle ahead. Well I, for one,
am rooting for her to kick some ass. Call these old fucking farts - like Grassley and Hatch - out and give them a big FUCK YOU...figuratively speaking.

She's a brave soul for doing so. Those "personal doubts and fears" would paralyze an ordinary human, ordinarily. Fuck politics, she's already a winner in my book. "Give 'Em Hell Annie"

The Kavanaugh Affair Careened Off a Cliff

If Kavanaugh himself is even remotely involved in this, he’s toast:

The nomination was roiled further late Thursday by incendiary tweets from a prominent Kavanaugh friend and supporter who publicly identified another high school classmate of Kavanaugh’s as Ford’s possible attacker. Ed Whelan, a former clerk to the late justice Antonin Scalia and president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, pointed to floor plans, online photographs and other information to suggest a location for the house party in suburban Maryland that Ford described. He also named and posted photographs of the classmate he suggested could be responsible.

Ford dismissed Whelan’s theory in a statement late Thursday: “I knew them both, and socialized with” the other classmate, Ford said, adding that she had once visited him in the hospital. “There is zero chance that I would confuse them.”

It’s beyond belief that Kavanaugh might have something to do with a slanderous allegation like Whelan’s, but given the fact pattern in the Post account, it’s also a little hard to believe he wasn’t aware of what Whelan was up to. If Kavanaugh himself is even remotely involved in getting Whelan to slander a third party to take the pressure off of himself, Kavanaugh is toast.

I see that the GOP's Ed Whelan apologizes for insinuating a Kavanaugh doppelgänger assaulted Ford. Tactically, Whelan made a very bad mistake. Now that everyone in the GOP has told him that his lies won't fly and could actually kill Kavanaugh's nomination, should it ever be investigated if Kavanaugh asked Whelan to lie for him, Whelan retracts everything, never admitting he lied to help Kavanaugh.

Maybe they won't pay. The GOP has a 68% chance of holding control of the Senate, which means Trump can cram whoever he wants onto the Supreme Court or into the Attorney General position after he fires Jeff Sessions, followed a few months later by shutting down Mueller.
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/se
nate/?ex_cid=midterms-header

It is a different story in the House of Representatives. The GOP will almost surely pay a price where they can't pass their usual laws over the opposition of nearly every Democrat because there is an 80% chance the GOP loses control of the House. As Trump likes to say about predictions, "We will see."

The person who really botched this whole thing was Feinstein. After reading Ford's complaint, she should have immediately told her that either the Senate would need to go public and start an investigation, or handed it back and told her to tear it up.

The problem with "secret" complaints is that the complainants want all of the up-side (put a complaint in file/ create a record; tarnish someone's reputation/prevent promotion) with none of the down-sides (having their word examined and cross-checked in public; allowing the accused to face their accuser). I find that cowardly. Worse, its a bad procedure which encourages baseless/ malicious complaints. Yes, I know ... women have a hard time dealing with this kind of conflict. But in the interests of fairness, they need to put their big-girl pants on and step up to the challenge.

I recall reading a story that really stuck with me because it was about a young woman very much like our daughter was: a then-16-year old with the mental age of a 7-year old, with poorly-controlled seizures that could be brought on by stress. Well, she was molested by a man, but a criminal charge could not be pursued unless she was willing to testify. This poor young woman, facing all of those challenges, DID testify even tho she paid for it with seizures afterwards. If SHE could manage the process, a a fully-competent, apparently wealthy and well-supported upper middle-class professor should be able to.

I find the tactics that the Dems are using . . .

There’s a strange dimension to the Republican campaign to push through Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination. It’s their insistence that he is “one of the most qualified Supreme Court nominees to come before the Senate,” as Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley put it. “His credentials are well known.”

But an honest look at his career shows that it’s extraordinarily undistinguished.

Born into a privileged family that was well-connected in Republican Party politics, Kavanaugh coasted from Georgetown Prep, where he was apparently a hard partier, into Yale, where he joined the notoriously hard-partying secret society Truth & Courage, and then on to Yale Law School.

Soon after graduating, he got a gig working for independent counsel Ken Starr — a plum position for a Republican lawyer on the make because the Starr inquiry was supposed to take down the Clinton administration. Instead, it was an impeachment process that was so spectacularly misguided legally that Democrats pulled off the nearly impossible feat of gaining seats during a midterm election when they controlled the White House.

Kavanaugh clerked for Alex Kozinski, an appeals court judge who was well known to the lay public for his witty opinions and well known to the legal community as a sexual harasser. When the sexual harassment became a matter of public embarrassment in the wake of the #MeToo movement, Kavanaugh professed to have simply not noticed anything amiss.

Rape is a real thing. It's not political, it's reality. What you are doing is
making wild accusations and a false narrative to justify calling Democrats
low-lives. That is as sick as RAPE itself.

I'm making wild accusations and false narratives?

SHE is making wild accusations and false narratives.

Sorry, brother, but I never bought into this whole Leftist idea of "always believe the woman no matter what" bullshit long before Kavanaugh, and neither does most of the country.

You're making a choice to believe a 30+ year after the allegation, allegation. I would say that you're only doing that because of the politics behind it, but in this insane age we're living in where you're guilty until proven innocent I really can't say that for sure about your opinion.

SGG: I have no idea WTF you mean with this absolutely inane statement. Okay, I'm done trying to understand.

Oh, you don't, huh?

Let me spell it out for YOU.

The absolute DEVASTATION that a lot of Liberals felt when they woke up on the morning of November 9th, 2016 was due in VERY LARGE part to the Media that was lying to them by skewing polling data intentionally to show that Clinton was going to win by so much it wouldn't even be close when the exact opposite was true.

The same thing is happening with the Democratic party right now. It has doubled down on every bad aspect of itself in the last two years and the normies aren't buying it anymore. I expect fully to see the Republicans now maintain the majority in the house and senate, and you're going to have a lopsided Supreme Court in GOP favor as well.

The absolute best case scenario for the Dems right now is to take the house, like Second mentioned.

How does a thing like this happen under somebody so divisive as Trump? How can the Democrats be so hated by the average citizen that isn't firmly in their echo chamber that Trump likely grows in power 6 weeks from now?

Do Right, Be Right. :)

^ I wondered about the truthfulness of this when I first read it... you're acting so certain and blaming the Dems was a dead give away. (See, by now I know your tells and I also know your deep seated bigotry. SIGHEIL!)

Of course the truth differs from what you said:

https://www.nytimes.com/1991/10/16/us/the-thomas-confirmation-how-the-
senators-voted-on-thomas.html

Voting yes were 11 Democrats and 41 Republicans. Voting no were 46 Democrats and 2 Republicans.

Hardly the "DEMS did it" as you claim.
Looking forward to shooting down your next lie.

Soooooo...
43 Republican Senators.
Thomas was confirmed.

Yep. Dems definitely didn't confirm him. The majority of 41 was enough to confirm, since Democrats would use Libtard Maths to calculate that as majority.

Hey! You changed your answer! I guess you realized YOUR math was sh*t - what a putz.

Thomas was confirmed by a majority of Republicans, 4 - 1. I give you credit JSF, you are relentlessly stupid.

My answer did not change. What are you smoking? How does 41:2 equal 4:1? How is 41 a majority of 100?

SPEAKING OF UNDISTINGUISHED RECORDS OF THE PRIVILEGED: JOHN MCCAIN HERO OF THE NATION

Quote:

The untold truth of John McCain
Mike Redmond Nicki Swift @NickiSwiftCeleb

The late Arizona Sen. John McCain was well known for his long career in Congress and his two attempts at the presidency, particularly his most recent run against Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential election. McCain's campaign on the Republican ticket famously pushed his running mate, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, into the national spotlight. Most people are probably also aware of McCain's heroic five-year stint in a Vietnamese prison camp. The naval aviator refused to use his family name as a bargaining chip and instead demanded the release of other soldiers. The details of McCain's political and personal life are an interesting tapestry that explain why the statesman earned his famous reputation as a maverick.

True to form, McCain continued striving to serve his country even after being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor in 2017. That year, while fighting for his life, the senator "made a dramatic appearance in the Senate to cast a thumbs-down vote against his party's drive to repeal the Affordable Care Act," reported The New York Times. The powerful statesman died Aug. 25, 2018 at his home in Arizona. He was 81.

Though McCain's influential life has been well-documented, there are still elements of this story that are less familiar to the general public. Let's take a closer look at the untold truth of John McCain.

He had an awesome nickname in high school

John McCain's fiery personality was already evident during his high school days. His classmates, who dubbed him "Punk," had some interesting words for McCain in their senior yearbook. "His magnetic personality has won for him many life-long friends," the editors wrote, according to ABC News. "But, as magnets must also repel, some have found him hard to get along with."

To his close friends, McCain had an altogether different nickname that, unfortunately, didn't stick around for his political career: "McNasty." The sweet moniker reportedly came from his time on the wrestling team, but it would also be a fitting title for the start of McCain's military career.

After high school, McCain followed in the footsteps of his father, Adm. Jack McCain, and grandfather, Adm. John "Slew" McCain, by enrolling in the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. But right off the bat, the youngest McCain had trouble adapting to academy life, according to The Arizona Republic. He reportedly fought with upperclassmen, and every year, he earned a spot in the "Century Club" for earning more than 100 demerits for refusing to clean his quarters, shine his shoes, or show up on time for formation. He graduated near the bottom of his class, which turned out to be something of a family tradition as well.

Where the young McCain really excelled was with the ladies. His fellow cadets reportedly called him "John Wayne McCain" and often turned to him for advice when it came to the opposite sex. "He was graying at the temples, and it made him more dashing." said McCain's Naval Academy roommate. "It was a real adventure living with John."

He was a party animal while stationed in Florida

During his early years in the Navy, McCain was stationed in Pensacola, Fla., where he earned a reputation for throwing the "most raucous and longest beach parties of any squadron in the Navy," reported TIME. "He dated everyone from schoolteachers to the strippers at Trader John's [sic], the fabled airdale raunch bar, often returning to base just in time to change clothes and drag himself out to the flightline," according to Robert Timberg, author of John McCain: An American Odyssey.

The Arizona senator also described his relationship with an exotic dancer named Marie the Flame of Florida in his own book Faith of my Fathers. According to TIME, "McCain recounted one night out with friends, when the Flame reached into her purse, popped open a switchblade and began to clean her fingernails, shocking some of those around her. Afterwards, McCain wrote, he took the 'worldly, lovely Flame of Florida to dinner.'"

OR maybe I should recount the silver-spoon, womanizing life of JFK instead?

All you've possibly demonstrated is that RHIP, and so does wealth.

You seem to have confused yourself on purpose - it seems to be a particular Trumpbot defense when they find themselves utterly wrong.

Let me help you:

Thomas won the nomination by the count of 41 Republicans 11 Democrats. Is that a 4 to 1 ratio?
