Yeah, no kidding! Do you have water at all? Or is the pressure just low?

Seems like they would have to shut off the water at SOME point in order to put in a new pump, but maybe there's a bypass that lets the water thru (with just line pressure and without a pump "pressure boost") so nobody is entirely without.

Today, in addition to calling my local plumbing, heating and A/C for maintenance and calling a window contractor and cutting up a couple of chickens for freezing... my mission today is to vacuum the house!

I tried mightily to finish the vacuuming but got (once again) tied up with other things. But at least our air handler "electronic cleaner" (technically "electrostatic precipitator") got cleaned today. Maybe now that it's clean it won't suffer from "particle bounce" and our house won't be so dusty.

I have a whole bunch of things lined up for the hot weather. Finishing the vacuuming and cleaning the kitchen ceiling fan. If the weather is still hot after that, cleaning the shower stall and bird-dogging a contractor for window replacement, and then a contractor for bathroom remodeling.

Speaking of which ... how's the water situation?

The new lawnmower cuts really nice. Same brand as the last one since I got 12 years out of it, but I only paid about $150 for for this one after rebates. It's not self-propelled like the last one was, and you can only mulch with it.

It's about half the weight of the previous mower, so it's not a huge deal having to push it. I also like that the rear wheels are almost a foot in diameter and you can adjust the height on both the front and back (my old one only had height adjustment in the back). But my lawn is beyond huge and has all those bumps because of the mole tunnels. Took about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Definitely more work, but I could use the exercise. As long as I stay in shape it should be fine.

I STILL haven't gotten to the rest of the vacuuming or cleaning the fan blades. Instead, I made a ginormous batch of dog food - boiled chicken that I pulled off three carcasses that I used to make bone broth, supplemented with potassium, calcium, and B vitamins (B1 is destroyed by cooking). I measure out the potassium and calcium tho,to make sure there's not too much or too little. Also unboxed a bunch of plants that had been shipped, gave hubby a haircut and beard trim, and tried out a new recipe for Mediterranean Casserole.
