I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

I remember him in Klute. He was the hero of the story.

Altho, quite often, he made a great "bad guy"

FWIW we were musing on how many ppl born in the 30's and 40's live to be 90, and why that might be.

Well, for one thing, "back then" there was no fast food. It was home cooking, or nothing.

Also, "back then", during the depression and wartime rationing and even afterwards, food wasn't so plentiful. I recall hearing a story about a kid being given a pickle for an afternoon snack. A pickle???? Mom used to cook just enough (sometimes not enough, I sometimes left the table feeling unsatisfied)

And finally, before the advent of mass car ownership, people walked everywhere. To the store, to the bus, to the tram.

So if you grew up back then, and managed to avoid the Hollywood drug scene, you probably did OK.

Or, any verification or thought.

Someone just mentioned this at lunch today. I am so sad. He must be one of the most well known Canadian actors of all time.

I've M*A*S*H, and Outbreak along with a World War II movie where he played a tank operator who was such a hippie. I will have to look up the title but that character was a hoot.

He even managed to do a film with his son Kiefer. A western.

The movie titles I couldn't remember were "Kelly's Heroes" and the one with his son is "Forsaken". I have also seen "Eye of the Needle".
