I finally scheduled an appt to see an orthopedist to find out WTH is going on with my knees and feet. The stiffness, swelling, and instability are making even everday activities painful. I can't take NSAIDS bc chemo ruined my kidneys, and more steroids just keep increasing the chance of permanent side effects. Unfortunately the appt isn't until late Sept. In the meantime I'm looking at getting some real shoes for my super wide, chemo-induced neuropathic feet, since my slipper-shoes have no cushioning or support.

I guess Im not the only one who gets sore after doing something physical.

Went to visit a neighborhood friend, and learned that this little Japanese woman who looks like she's 50 but is actually 4 years older than me has flat feet, bunions, a bad hip, diabetes, on treatment for breast cancer, high cholesterol... I guess I don't feel so special!
Still, my joints ... knees in particular ... are deteriorating so quickly I'm glad I'll be seeing someone soon bc it's kind of crippling.

My "big project" today was damp mopping the kitchen floor.

I can't imagine me schlepping around like you do. At this point I can barely walk the dog.

On the one hand, they say it's good for us. OTOH, when you get to be my age ... or at some point ... you're going to have to find an alternative.

Turns out, they resceduled my knee appt for next week. I hope Dr Ortho has a fix for me.

I hope your luck changes with mah jong!

Oh, and I wanted to comment: sounds like you do gardening for your employer as well as housework?
