Maybe the publisher closed down? ***** I finally scheduled an appt to see an orthopedist to find out WTH is going on with my knees and feet. The stiffness, swelling, and instability are making even everday activities painful. I can't take NSAIDS bc chemo ruined my kidneys, and more steroids just keep increasing the chance of permanent side effects. Unfortunately the appt isn't until late Sept. In the meantime I'm looking at getting some real shoes for my super wide, chemo-induced neuropathic feet, since my slipper-shoes have no cushioning or support. ----------- "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal."- Henry Kissinger "Constant monitoring of behavior, emotion, and identity breeds conformity, judgment, and fear."

Would have done one of those days but just didn't have the energy. I guess Im not the only one who gets sore after doing something physical. Went to visit a neighborhood friend, and learned that this little Japanese woman who looks like she's 50 but is actually 4 years older than me has flat feet, bunions, a bad hip, diabetes, on treatment for breast cancer, high cholesterol... I guess I don't feel so special! Still, my joints ... knees in particular ... are deteriorating so quickly I'm glad I'll be seeing someone soon bc it's kind of crippling. My "big project" today was damp mopping the kitchen floor. ----------- "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal."- Henry Kissinger "Constant monitoring of behavior, emotion, and identity breeds conformity, judgment, and fear."

I can't imagine me schlepping around like you do. At this point I can barely walk the dog. On the one hand, they say it's good for us. OTOH, when you get to be my age ... or at some point ... you're going to have to find an alternative. Turns out, they resceduled my knee appt for next week. I hope Dr Ortho has a fix for me. I hope your luck changes with mah jong! Anything interesting on the agenda for this week and next? Today had a productive appt with Dr Rheumatologist, and tomorrow have a phone consult with a lawyer. Monday seeing Dr Ortho for the first time for my knees. At stupid o'clock'cause they squeezed me in. But after that it's blank for the week. It's way too hot to do anything outdoors... was 95F/35C today. So I guess I'll look at my list of "things to do" and pick out a few indoor items to tackle. ----------- "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal."- Henry Kissinger THGR claims I have no morels, and he's absolutely right.

So I guess I'll look at my list of "things to do" and pick out a few indoor items to tackle. Just some grocery shopping that I didn't feel like doing today. Next week is get the rest of one of my seizure meds. They shorted me again. They had about 270 odd pills on hand but had to fill a partial prescription for someone, so they could only give a 100 pills. Somehow what they had left after filling the partial one was 239, which is why they could only give me part of my prescription. Other than that for next week, don't know. Hey, glad your appointment went good with Dr. Rheumatologist. Hey, when it is a specialist sometimes you gotta take whatever appointment you can get and really hope Dr. Ortho can help you. My area didn't get much rain and we are going to be dry for the rest of the week and into next week, I think.

My area didn't get much rain and we are going to be dry for the rest of the week and into next week, I think. Oh, that pharmacy of yours! We're having problems with ours too. We've been going to Walgreens for years bc the nearby CVS pharmacy was a nightmare. But Walgreens closed the little mini-pharmacy that was so conveniently just around the corner. So we went a little further away, but unlike CVS they always got our prescriptions correct and on-time, and almost no waiting. But they closed that one, too, and now we're going even farther away, and this new location is as bad as CVS was. Apparently they're not only absorbing everyone from our previous location, they're absorbing Rite-Aid as well, and they're completely overwhelmed. I like to refill the entire family's meds all at once, just make one trip if I can, yanno? Same list, every month. I had to call SIX TIMES to correct mistakes and make sure everything was ready, and when we went to pick them up, we waited 30 minutes for the drive thru line to clear, and then it took them 15 minutes to find our stuff. But for us, it's just a hop in the car and a 15 minute drive. For you, it's a bus trip! Don't they know how inconvenient that is??? Maybe it's no big deal if the weather is nice, and I suppose you need to get your walks in, so maybe you prefer walking with a purpose. But if it's cold and rainy or snowy ... well, that's a different story! Harrumph! Anyway, at least the rest of your week seems clear. I hope you find something enjoyable to do, something satisfyingly productive, and something restful. And I hope you get some rain, but not on the day you pick up meds! Would you believe the fires in western Canada are causing unhealthful air in western NY? ----------- "It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal."- Henry Kissinger THGR claims I have no morels, and he's absolutely right.
