She just said Obama is "beating his chest" during the election, but not providing the "leadership" that John McCain provides. I think I just threw up in my own mouth a little bit...because that statement conjurs up images of Gorillas and Republican wishfull thinking.

I can handle pundits...Olbermann, O'Reilly, maybe not Hannnity or Rush, but Pfotenhauer is worse than even Ann Coulter. Her facial expressions can't possibly be construed as sincere by any thinking adult. She is likely just a rovebot frame with organic tissue consisting largly of pieced together Hyena parts that is lastly covered by the gutted skin of a once usefull human being, what a waste.

Doesn't that sort of come with the territory? Pretty standard fare for mainstream media - them being the "circuses" part of "bread and circuses".

Inevitably I suppose I have only myself to blame for having witnessed the hagery. I fear the debates will be just more one liners, pitt bull and pig jokes, and the many five word slogans that we've already heard. My mind is made up and I don't know anyone who hasn't made up thier mind. Makes you wonder about how much of whats left of this election season is contrived uncertainty to generate news ratings much like retail stores need Xmas.

What the heck are you even talking about? There was no mention of 'beating his chest ' in the link you provided, so one must take your word for it , I suppose. And even if she did, so what ? Beating his chest isn't by any stretch of the imagination a ' GORILLA ONLY ' thing, but something men have been accused of for ages, regardless of skin color. My god, your faux indignation over this mock racial insult is so damned transparent, I'm laughing. How old are you....9 ? Are you so hyper hysterical that someone might DARE to criticize the great O ?? Get use to it, because the Left has dished out FAR worse, but it certainly can't take it.

From the comments she said in the ( much altered and cropped video clips ) , this gal is spot on. Dunno what the fuss is over.

Except for the fact that Sarah had made the comment about lipstick, a soccer mom and a pit bull just a few days before, and the audience Barack was talking to immediatly picked up on what THEY thought he meant.

Nice try .

The shrill , hateful rantings of the Left are well documented. I'm for sticking to the subject, and still yet to have explained to me what Pfotenhauer's said that's so bad.

Lipstick on pigs aside, that "joke" never made me laugh. I must not "get" it or maybe it's just written for Disney kids and Stepford idiots and I'm WAY out of the scope of the intended demographic.

Although what you say is all very true in many cases, I myself have yet to make up my mind.

I'm quite dismayed to see that Dr. Paul is not running for another party at this point. I do, however, feel that even a write in vote is a big you to the status quo.

He recently has backed up Chuck Baldwin of the Constitution Party. I've got mixed feelings about this. Particularly because of what went down with Bob Barr and the Libertarians (who I also agree with MUCH more than either the jackass or the fat elephant)..

The cynic in me wants to say "well, he's just picking the lessest of multiple evils".... But the idealist in me truly believes in this man's judgement and track record of preserving the Constitution so I'd like to give this guy the benefit of the doubt. Some research into the Constitution party is in order, I think. I like the name anyways, but if I didn't know anything about the "Patriot Act" I would say the same thing.

That being said, if the Dems block this bill that will cost every American $2,000 to bail out rich people (or let's face it, at least $20,000 from every middle class worker who's already paying the bills for all of the poor people while the rich get richer), I am seriously considering voting for Obama. It breaks my heart how he folded on the FISA issue though. Makes me pretty certain that he's just another one of them in disguise.

Then there's always Mayor McCheese. I mean, the guy never could seem to stop the Hamburgler from stealing burgers, but everyone in McDonaldland always seemed happy..... on camera.

You flatly stated that her comment ( which never even shows up in the clip you provided , asserts that Pfotenhauer blatently was making a racist remark, by comparing Obama to a chest beating gorilla!. There's simply no other way to take your meaning!.

I look towards HR Puff-N-Stuff myself for a more comprehensive leadership style than McCheese.

I mean...we haven't even heard McCheese's platform because he doesn't talk! And can you imagine the nepotism in the cabinet...Ronald McDonald, Grimace McDonald, Hamburgler McDonald...on and on with the McDonalds!

Now a N-Stuff cabinet because he's a Lincoln fan would surely include rivals like Witcheepoo, that vulture guy and the six armed fuzzy dude. Also Cling and Clang, Freddie the Flute, That tree dude. Anyway homogenosity has been a problem in the past so I think some diversity might if anything inspire many of us.

"Beating your chest" isn't Presidential AURaptor. Never at any point did I say that the Gorilla in my mind had a racial component to it.

Ooops, I forgot...I'd like to touch on "Phoney Outrage".

This condition is the long term blowback from Archie Bunker types who resented the deprivation caused by society stifling thier use of many racial and sexual terms that they grew up using, and in some cases assumed no harm was inflicted by thier usage.

In the interest of fairness, these freedom of speech deprivation victims want to ensure that nobody else uses harmfull racial terminology too. It's great that they have fairness and a racism free planet as thier only goals.

At any rate...I respect folks who think Palin's gender and Obama's race shouldn't matter, but I'm guessing it probably does amongst some, who and how many I don't know. But folks who have "Phony Outrage" over racism may have motives that are different than people dedicated to fairness and a racism free planet. Thier motivation may come from anger as opposed to a more concilliatory intent.

Long story short, you can combat racism without getting mad.

Jack, the US Constitution Party (aka Taxpayer Party, a dual name dodge they use to double stack ballots with two candidates) is a buncha far right religious wackos that anyone with sense would run screaming in the other direction from.

Basically... the American Taliban.

And they are more than capable of corruption and criminality too, leastways the ones around here are, and they're certainly nasty enough to be a threat - too bad some local radical keeps hacking them off at the knees though, innit ?

Without doing any research on it yet Frem, I kinda got that idea. That's why I'm a bit disappointed that Dr. Paul would back them. I think he should have just endorsed himself if he wasn't going to keep that info to himself.

I know your and my views on religion differ somewhat (really the only thing we don't see eye to eye on), but I don't want a religious institution leading the country either. Even Christians....

And, to everyone, Bush was NOT a Christian, and it pisses me off that he's doing more tarnish to Faith than the pedo-priests and the mind boggling cover up the church has been doing probably since its inception..... keep in mind the church is also in the Government's pocket since it is free to get rich and not have to pay taxes like the rest of us.

Back to the point, the fact still remains that we won't un-fuck this situation until there is a legitimate 3rd party that can make a serious grab at the top spot.... and 4th and 5th......

That would top history's long sad list of ungood and unconstitutional things there Jack!

I trust you did not think that my indictment of phony outrage over racism, or reverse racism, was an endorsement of imiting "our" vocabulary to 800 word Newspeak. Which is as detrimental to free speech as limiting "our" vocabulary to disclude complaints about racially offensive language.

Anyone should be able to go to the south side of Chicago and walk up to black gang bangers, and call them nig*ers, and walk away umolested. I guess I never considered it, and I would never claim to know what she meant. This thead started out to be about chronic double standards. The whole Gorilla thing has been admittedly from the start...completely my own visualization. Who was it that said "don't go visiting my intentions"? I never suggested in any way that my Gorilla visualization was an accusation of racism leveled by me against Photenhagg. AURaptor was mistaken when he though I did. Just like how I didn't suggest anyone should be dissallowed to say whatever they want in my Phony Outrage post, so long as they are not breaking liable and slander laws.

The racism question that AURaptor introduced, and the freedom of speech component that I unwittingly introduced are the only reason this thread is limping along still. I fear some have become desensitized and overlook the non-aldrenaline producing issues these days like exposing all cable news for it's intellectual toxicity. That's why Fox, MSNBC, and CNN ratings are so much higher than McNeill Leherer

Thank you for informing me that blacks have endured comparisons to monkeys and apes, and that those comparisons are negative and racist.

Nancy Pfotenhauer said that Obama was "beating his chest". Only higher primates beat thier chest, evoking an image in my mind of a Gorilla. I then compared that image to the image of John McCain who was described as a "leader", and for that I pictured Blackbeard. Does that mean I'm accusing Photenhauer of anti piratism?

Thank you for the visual support for your position that Curious George should be insulted because someone characterized him as Barak Obama. So you're saying that ficticious monkeys should be just as offended by a comparison to a human as humans should be to comparisons with ficticious Monkeys. Good point. Thanks for that info.

What a cool coincidence, just this morning I walked my Dog and I did that on the world. I didn't think Obama's "pig" comment was directed at Palin, and I don't think you've proven Photenhauer's "beating his chest" comment to be racist in nature. I never even visited Photenhauer's intentions concerning her characterization of Obama as "beating his chest". I only stated that I visualized one of the few animals in the world that do that. You introduced the racist element to this thread by accusing me...of accusing her...of racism. Does that mean you played the race card?, or maybe the "species" card in Curious George's case?, and coming soon, the "pirate" card when Blackbeard is offended by Pfotenhauer's remarks?

i don't know what trollish game you're playing, but by every measure, you introduced the whole racist issue w/ Obama and gorillas. Why you're trying to now turn it around, only you know, i suppose. But I'm not up for this pointless game.

In a perfect world "every measure" you have available would include one that measures my posts in such a way that you would understand what I'm saying. I can also completely understand why an inability to prove any racism within any of my statements might seem like a "pointless game"...I guess.

In your defense I guess I was being trollish in that I went on far longer with the exchange with you only because I was curious as to whether or not you would, quit, or stop hurling insults first. Looks like it was stop hurling insults and quit at the same time. But that leads to the question...is trolling worse than personal insults? Don't worry, I know you're not going to answer that.

Shit, I if was gonna compare Obama to a gorilla, it would be the 800lb kind, cause sure as shit the pathetic retreads of the other party don't seem to be able to convince him to just quietly move along, now do they ?

Although it's kind of amusing that in spite of such laughable opposition the Democratic party is so fucking cack-handed that it's even a contest.

I believe we call that Parity of Incompetence.

No but Mr Tread and Mr Retread sure would like to stifle this friday's debates in honor politiking during our Government's first purchase of the means of production for part of Wall Street!...I think I need a bailout.

The biggest mystery on that show second only to what "can't do a little cuz you can't do enough" means, is why the casting picked Jack Wild to play Jimmy. He couldn't dance, or sing, and he had that speech impediment where he couldn't pronounce his R's that made his British accent sound quite strange.

Does anybody remember Lidsville, The Bugaloos, or The Land of the Lost? How about those uneccissarily slow moving Sleestak?! All they would do when they caught you was hiss and give you access to the room with the crystal buttons making it easy for Chaka to bust you out.

Don't know who McNeill Leherer is, but unfortunately I do know who Bill O'Riley is. I don't feel so bad about that though when I think about how many people I've talked to about Ron Paul that didn't even know who he was.

Funny how good things get buried while shit floats to the top, innit?

Yes. Personal insults can be taken or not, but trolling is the lowest form of life.

However, if you play the part of a troll, and you get called for it, is that really a personal insult ?

Think about it.

A troll is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response, or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

So none of my posts, on this thread, were trollish according to the wiki definition of internet trolling!

My thread started as an indictment of Nancy Pfotenhauer's unfavorable charcterization of Barak Obama, compared to a laughable overselling of John McCain by charcterizing him as a "leader". And I went on to show Photenhauer contradicting herself because I thought it was amuzing. And the thread was starting to look like a big dud.

Then...your first post introduced the topic of racism, which first ran the thread off topic. That continued in your posts while I rebuked you in all subsequent communication between us. Racism was controversial, off topic, introduced by you, and provoked an emotional response only in yourself.

Don't be so hard on yourself about trolling yourself. You shouldn't think you're the lowest form of life. You know yourself is better than that. Don't let AURaptor call yourself on being a troll. Just let it go, and I'm sure he will to. It'll be our little secret, shhhh.
