WTOP asked Bob Barton with United Site Services, the largest rent-a-john company in the United States, how many he thinks the city will need.

"We've certainly heard estimates anywhere from two to three thousand toilets", Barton says. But the only problem isn't just how many, but where.

"1,500 portable toilets, if you put them side by side, is a line a mile and a half long, " he says.

A mile and a half of porta-potties. A metaphor for the new administration?

Holy Crap!

I note for the record that I attended the 2000 inauguration. They opened most of the govt buildings including Congressional office buildings so people could come in to get warm and use the facilities. Most even had free coffee and hot chocolate and many had free food.

I suspect that since 9/11 they don't do that so much any more.

A better metaphor for Washington would be if they arrived already full of crap.

I'm pretty far left, and yet have to admit, that was pretty damned funny.

A mile and a half. That's some image, huh? Who remembers Hands Across America? This is the same, only different...

ETA: "A better metaphor for Washington would be if they arrived already full of crap." Even funnier!
