But please note: It tends to be right -wingers with the hate and the potty-mouths. Heck, the one time I typed up a couple lines of invective people were shocked! SHOCKED, I tell you! And why? Not because I said anything worse than Jong or Zit or Wulf, but that I said the same kind of stuff.

I think it's possible to talk about ANYTHING, if people listen to the other person, think about what they said, do a little introspection from time to time, and respond civilly. Unfortunately it's just not possible to have a discussion if people start name-calling and strawmanning and turning it into a bar-fight. At that point, the conversation has ended and nobody learns anything.

One memorable post directed at me a ways back by ___(name withheld to prevent further head-size expansion) was when he called me "an effing steaming pile of go se." That one I've always cherished.
