That much oil doesn't get introduced into the environment and then just goes away in a few months.

As much as I'd love it to be the case, I fear we'll be seeing the effects of this for many years to come.

Seems petty to me but there's a lot of that around here.

BTW - just got word from my wife's folks that our nephew in FLA has been working for the BP clean-up "effort" making $18 bucks an hour. Making money from BP. Sounds great doesn't it? Sounds like BP can't write checks fast enough. He's doing so well that he wants to put off his next semester so he can work and put some money away - great kid.

You are, of course, joking. Given the names I'm called?? Everyone here uses nicknames, most of them derrogatory. When he behaves like crap, I call him Crappy.

Nonetheless, when he makes a valid point and doesn't get obscene or insulting, you must not have noticed that I use his correct "handle". It's hard to keep track sometimes, but I went back and changed it in this instance, thank you.

The same cannot be said of others regarding me--but then of course they never think I make valid points, to them I'm just a "souless" (that from Crappy) "condescending arrogant fat old bi-polar hag", "asshole", "big government whore", "money stealing whore", and let's not forget "arrogant douche" (and that's just a sample).

Yeah, I'm rude. Right.

ETA: Pizmo, I'm sincerely happy for your nephew. I only hope he doesn't get sick--tell him not to stay too long, if you can, and to protect himself as much as he can (and BP will let him!)
