You make it sound as if the police were obviously stereotyping the shooter and therefore overreacted by killing him, but aren't you making similar baseless assumptions about the police officers involved? As it turns out, they didn't kill the shooter after all, so that makes it even worse. Not everyone in this country, whether law officer or not, assumes that an African-American is a Muslim or a terrorist, just as not everyone in this country assumes that all of the police use profiling and shoot without consideration. There are some bad apples in both groups, which doesn't give us the right to condemn the whole group in either case.
