Now imagine how STUPID you are if you think that could ever be, as long as this world's richest peeps seek power & profit over all else.
WE create our enemies,
WE create our illnesses,
WE create our road fatalities.

And much more.

All for commerce. All for control.

De-regulation results directly in deaths.
And homelessness.
And pollution.
And waste.
And ridiculous profits.

Now, I don't want to live in a "Demolition Man" spoon-fed utopian pussy nightmare, but I sure as Hell am sick of living in a butt-f***ed corporatocracy that dictates our lives as completely & impersonally in the other direction!

But, let's face it. Girl & boy whores that pretend to find you attractive, failed marriages, kids that hate you, friends that would see you happily fail so they could succeed MORE...
It's gotta have an effect on the psychological landscape of a go-getter, eh? Make them hate the world, just a little...

Hate life...

Love numbers...

The one who dies with the most toys,
goes to Toy Story Heaven...
or something.....

Furthermore, why is it WE have to have our cars pass an emissions test when corporations can dump billions of tons of toxic waste into the ocean LEGALLY (as long as they pay a pittance of a 'fine')????

BTW, cure for most asthma: purse your lips & BLOW (this creates back pressure & opens up the affected airways). Do it on every attack, & eventually it will go away (in most cases).

Cure for acne: eliminate processed sugars from diet, take vitamins, stop using soap from dead animals.

Cure for many forms of arthritis: EXERCISE!!!

OOOPS! 'They' don't want you to know this.....

One medical conspiracy theory that intrigues me: autism possibly caused by vaccines. I doubt it's so clean cut, and I haven't looked at any actual facts behind this, but I mean to someday. It's an interesting idea.

Yeah, but eating better and exercising would solve so many of our ills. But that's not the American way. I particularly enjoy how Americans pay to go to gyms, but will spend 10 minutes circling the lot to get a closer parking space in front of the mall.

Because it's not really about good health: it's about making money. Walking from the car? Profits no one. Joining a gym that you never go to? Oh yeah.

Don't breast-feed a kid, then give it shots too early & when their immune response is limited? That's a recipe for trouble all right. My Wife fed him right (Au natural). And took vitamins.
And I FORBADE that vaccination s**t for MY Son until he was 5.
Hep-B vax outta the box? F**K them.

11 now, and he's fine.

Well, I ain't no scientist, but having put the effort into it - the effect seems more a gestalt combination of things than any one factor.
First you got the preservatives, like Thimerosal, which is still used widely despite being technically banned cause the FDA is a toothless co-opted corporate approval stamp these days, and you got the Adjuvants, some of which are worse, and in most of the very extreme cases seem to be the primary trigger for Autism or GBS symptoms, on top of which you have too many vaccs crammed too close together for the body to adapt, especially when dealing with children or infants and it can overwhelm their system to where it just can't cope any more.

Not to mention "live" vaccines, which despite everyone shouting me down about it, are now proven to have caused multiple outbreaks, not the least of which is a couple Polio outbreaks in Africa - and people wonder why those folk don't trust our damn vaccines, when we've practically used em as fekkin biowarfare on them folk more than once ?

And the CDC is playing politics with the whole fearmongering cause the "Pandemic Panic" plan as an excuse for the required "National Emergency" to create the endless "State of Emergency" anyone with a knowledge of Euro and American history damn well knows is a prelude to reducing this nation to corporate feudalism and serfdom, so far that it isn't already - I mean, Don Rumsfeld tried that shit in 1976, with disastrous results, and to pull that same plan out and try to re-use it when there were still folks alive who remember the end results was idiotic, but as shameless as those NeoCon punks are, only to be expected.

Kinda funny when their lab-grown version of the 1918 Flu ran smack-dab-bang into eighty years of human evolution and got curb stomped, even when they were sneaking vials of pure virus into "vaccine" shipments, by "accident" - which is impossible since violating BSL-3 safety procedures that badly is humanly impossible by design, you understand.

Not to mention the apathy of a public so jaded by constant booga-booga that the attempt to cause such a panic whiffed badly enough to make their plan a laughingstock instead of a threat, but the lack of faith in public health orgs due to their lies and politicking might some day bite us on the ass, and I worry about that too.

As for the rest, yanno, it's kinda hard to pull off the Evil Overlord thing with little miss cricket in tow, constantly pointing out that ones behavior is nowhere near as awful as even their own self-image would indicate, and imma offer you some highlights, Chris, for your no doubt endless amusement.

*walking sixty yards to mailbox instead of driving, despite having a bad leg day and limping in obvious pain*
W: "And you don't use the car, like everyone else ?"
F: "Gas costs money kid, and I don't like what we do to get it - shoe leather's cheap."

*thursday night, in the office*
W: "Gahh, it's like a meat locker in here!"
F: "So ? wear a sweater, unless you LIKE acid rain, kiddo."
(WAY too much of MI's power comes from coal)

*concerning the office comps keyboard, letters worn off and missing the L shift and Control keys*
W: "You don't replace it ?"
F: "Why, still works, and I know what the keys are - waste not, want not."

*regarding my bologna & cheese sandwiches for lunch*
W: "Umm, that bread is kinda stale..."
F: "And that's why mankind invented the toaster, girl, never waste food, never."

*concerning the brownies*
W: "Isn't butter like, bad for you ?"
F: "Uh huh, and you believe this from the same folk who said Aspartame was good for you, why ?"

So apparently I am far more socially-conscious than I had any idea of, but to me it ever came across as a combination of simple common sense and knowledge of cause and effect, you know ?

Oh, in case you were wondering - my brownies are made with a cheap cocoa powder mix, a stick of butter, and two eggs, and comes out to twelve brownies at a cost, including power to the oven and water for cleanup, of about $0.18 per brownie.
Being able to justify chomping down brownies as a budget cost savings: PRICELESS.

The fact that autism wasn't around until the past half century, and now it's all over, says something. Not that I'm convinced by that alone - there is the possibility that it wasn't diagnosed previously. People certainly have grown more sensitive to diagnosing such conditions, rather than just dismissing "different" people as... well, you fill in the derogatory terms.

But two things: first, I grew up on what seems to be the average American diet, then got off that shit, and now just one fast food meal makes me feel sick. There's something bad in all that processed food. And flu shots? The one year I got one was the year I got really sick.

Second, I heard a radio interview recently by a guy who made a film about autism and its links to vaccines. The interview didn't get into the technical details, and I certainly do not know the proper kind of science to judge it, but my "nutjob" alarm bells did not go off with this guy. On the contrary, the articles I've dug up that "disprove" the connection make my spider sense tingle.

I don't see a conspiracy that knows what it's doing as much as a whole lot people who really, really want to believe one thing and cannot see any other way. But then, I'm a physicist, and in physics things tend to be nice and neat. Biology and medicine are more messy and complicated, and seem to me like a bit of actual progress mixed with lots of voodoo and wishful thinking.

The American way: "We've got a pill for that!"

Yes to the gyms. We have one just down the street. Parking is always full. We see women in "gym outfits" going in. All this while we're walking or bicycling past the place.

Gyms are for seeing and being seen...in SF they have them in the Canyons with floor-to-ceiling windows, so that even those outside can see how "healthy" they're getting in their cute gym clothes!

Strange little species, we are!

(RANT WARNING: Ok, was supposed to be a quick blurb, but ya got the three-penny rant instead, still informative though)

Mal4Prez - I am pretty sure it was around, given how much stuff they used lead and mercury for at the time, but generally it was probably more severe and/or dismissed as simple madness, cause folk as a rule weren't quite as socially adjusted in the first place, and psychology wasn't much of a science at the time, heck, one could make a case it isn't much of one now.

I was always of a mind that much of Lincolns erratic and meglomaniacal behavior could prolly be attributed to those little blue pills (Blue Mass) he was taking, since they were primarily composed of mercury, and given that he was a pathological liar, tend to severely doubt any of his own assertions that he had quit taking them when the evidence is against it.

And when you come right down to it, a lot of biology and medicine STARTED as voodoun, witch doctor-ism, herbcraft and lore, and yeah, wishful thinking - a lot of it still is cause we're still, even to this day, basing our views on "National Health" on the concepts of C. Everett Koop, who was (and this has been since admitted) outright clinically insane while in office, and most of his "studies" were rigged to produce the results HE wanted, and be damned to good science, so what respect should I really have for a national concept of "Healthy" that's based on the whims of a madman ?
(Oh, yeah, and he *DEMANDED* to be buried at Arlington as a war hero, despite never having served, I kid thee not)

That's one reason Big Pharma has it in for holstic medicine, because despite a certain amount of fraud and chicanery (as if there ISN'T, in modern medicine as well?) it happens to be something of their competition and precursor, since a lot of folk remedies (Guafesien, for example) were co-opted by Big Pharma, who then proceeded to legally threaten the very practitioners they stole the damn idea from to protect their profits.

It's also part of the War on (some) Drugs, in that most "recreational" drugs are in competition with their psychotropics, or painkillers, and the latter is a pet peeve with me since painkillers lose a LARGE amount of their effectiveness if you wait till the patient is screaming in pain to deliver any, and then they have the damn nerve to not take this into account, and bitch at the patient for being in pain thanks to their own damn incompetence and lack of empathy - of course, if they DO show any empathy, then they have the fucking DEA up their ass about it, so it's no win, and the main losers are people who live in chronic, often disabling pain - you know, like me, it's not a lack of physical inability which confines me to the chair, as being unable to overcome the pain even with deadened nerves and a massive pain tolerance, when almost a third of your body is mechanical replacements, they gotta hook the metal to the meat SOMEWHERE, and there's no way in hell that doesn't hurt like a bitch, despite that tendancy to sneer and act like you ain't REALLY in pain even when your vitals and blood chem is going crazy... stupid, incompetent, sadistic assholes, the lot of em, grrrr...

One can imagine my opinion of the medical profession ain't too high given I had to go outside of it, to renegades and mad scientist types, after being told to just lay down and take it (which woulda killed me via muscle atrophy and pneumonia) and to accept it (yeah right) and that I would never walk again and my life as I knew it was over -to which my response was YOU'RE FIRED!
Mind you, they were also quite sure for the longest time I was gonna die anyway and gently (or not so gently) encouraging that, and when I didn't have the decency to do so, they were kind of offended, for reasons I fail to fathom - this is a black joke amongst the ones I still have to deal with, who call me "Mister Bundy" after someone marked my original chart CTD BUNDY.
(This is medical slang for Circling The Drain - But Unfortunately Not Dead Yet. )

So with such a massive breach of trust, and an insiders view of how the "system" works, and a previous incident where the damn MMR vacc nearly killed me, resulting in a full "code" and cessation of all vital signs (they had actually pulled the sheet up and started wheeling me off while frantically trying to figure what cover story to shill my mother) before I started flailing and went into berserk overdrive...

I did a lot of investigation into that sort of thing, despite a crapload of lies and obfuscations from both "sides" of the issue, and finding any hard data is of course next to impossible, which put it in the realm of conspiracy theory right up till a certain "wonder drug" of theirs and a really, REALLY suspicious ad blitz and hard push to get it out the door and into as many people as possible, as fast as possible, even to the point of trying to have it legally mandated (and may you burn an enternity in HELL for that, Governor Goodhair..) which struck me as they KNEW something was really wrong with it and wanted to get max profit before the consequences came to roost...

Gardasil.

Anyone here knows I was mocked, shouted down, and dismissed, only to be right, chapter and verse, all the way down the line, beyond even my worst nightmares since a member of my own family wound up in the dirt because of it, because they would not listen, because they took the word of these lying bastards simply cause it's "accepted wisdom" despite ever mounting evidence against it, and as the evidence mounted, so too did the body count.

And now...

The american medical establishment has abused and lost the trust of the people in almost every way possible, from medicating normal childhood behavior, and then medicating the side effects of those medications, to crying wolf over and over, abuse in the name of profit, abuse in the name of politics, backed up by violation of the oath in helping our merry little torturers to be more effective, to "wonder drugs" which turn all too deadly in practice, and an attitude towards "acceptable losses" which is downright shameful, even wicked, when your family becomes one of them.

All this is not to say I am anti-vaccine, just that there is NO EXCUSE for "Acceptable Losses", especially in a vaccine of debateable utility, and we have a moral obligation to make them SAFE, as well as effective, instead of trying to sweep the damage under the rug, and produce even deadlier, even less safe, less useful vaccines - especially if a legal mandate is behind them, cause honestly, how would YOU feel if someone made you stand in line under some pretty ugly threats for a cup of juice that stood a 1-in-200 chance of causing you to die horribly, and not necessarily any time soon?!
(GBS is some seriously nasty shit, and a horrible, horrible way to die, folks.)
Wouldn't be too pleased about it, I imagine, eh ?
Especially if you had to watch what happened to the last "unlucky winner" of the vaccine lottery - IMHO we should devote all efforts into discovering WHY a certain percentage of the population has that reaction and developing an alternate solution instead of writing them off, I mean, goddamn, those are PEOPLE - do we have any RIGHT to just arbitrarily kill them for the debateable "safety" of the rest ?

And worse, here's what my REAL issue is, what gives me the night-creepies about all this...

They have so broken the trust of the people, lied so much and so often, that if a REAL pandemic ever shows up, we are all but totally screwed - they've proven (Katrina, et. al.) that they can't actually cope with a real-world disaster, and no one trusts them anyways, even if they DID get a vaccine out there folks would shun it, ignore it, or if the conditions were bad enough and they were forcing it on folk, they'd likely be lynched or burnt out.

That's one problem with proving "The Crazies" right... people start to wonder what ELSE they might be right about, and with that all-or-nothing, black-and-white mindset, some people will dive headfirst and choose to believe it all, and when they came face first with FEMA and Mandatory Vaccinations...

Ka-Boom.

A zombie apocalypse couldn't be no worse, and THAT is what bothers me the worst about all these, they've broken a sacred trust we might be NEEDING some time in the future, alas.

I think the link between autism and vaccination has been well and truly discredited.

Autism has always been around, it's just that the diagnosis was used for severe cases...ie developmentally delayed children who were too 'disturbed' to attend regular school. Dibs in Search of Self http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dibs_in_Search_of_Self is a wonderful book that details the beginnings of play therapy used to treat such a child.

I think the Autism spectrum, including Asbergers is a more recent development in diagnosis, and truly the diagnosis tend to be used to freely to describe kids that would have been labeled different or eccentric in my childhood. Most young boys that I know would be somewhere on the spectrum, but do okay in the long run (even if school is a pain for them).

Re vaccinations, while I agree that we tend to over vaccinate, I always like to remember how many children died in infancy of things like whooping cough and diptheria et al. Childhood diseases were one of the major causes of all mortality up unto the 50's. So consipiracy theories aside, I think we're better off with the vaccinations.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Quote:

One medical conspiracy theory that intrigues me: autism possibly caused by vaccines. I doubt it's so clean cut, and I haven't looked at any actual facts behind this, but I mean to someday. It's an interesting idea.
But not true.

The infamous "they" that I'm always quoting did a study... In CA, there is a collection of tens of thousands of neonatal blood samples taken decades ago, stored in liquid nitrogen. (Samples were taken for PKU and other metabolic disorder testing and saved for research purposes.) By asking leading neuro-developmental biologists which hormones and peptides they thought were the most important for in-utero brain development, they developed a list of eight compounds to test for, identified several groups of older children (dx autism, cerebral palsy w/ and w/o mental retardation, and neurotypical) and went back to the neonatal blood bank and were able to test neonatal blood for these compounds. Four of them... particularly vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), were significantly elevated in autistic children and children with CP and MR.
Quote:

Neonatal concentrations of VIP, CGRP, BDNF, and NT4/5 were higher (ANOVA, all p values < 0.0001 by Scheffe test for pairwise differences) in children in the autistic spectrum and in those with mental retardation without autism than in control children. In 99% of children with autism and 97% with mental retardation, levels of at least one of these substances exceeded those of all control children.

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ana.1024/abstract

Now, you have to realize that the significance of this test is that these marker compounds were elevated within a day of birth ... that is, before any vaccinations. Whatever causes autism happens before birth, not afterwards.

In addition, a more recent study found a correlation between neonatal jaundice and autism.
Quote:

Jaundice in full-term newborn infants is associated with an increased risk for autism and other psychological development disorders, according to a new study. The study which included all children born in Denmark from 1994 to 2004 (That's a big sample set!-Signy) found that full-term neonates exposed to jaundice had as much as an 88% increased risk of being diagnosed with a psychological development disorder compared with unexposed neonates.

www.medscape.com/viewarticle/730949

I recall there is also a correlation between maternal/ fetal blood type mismatch and schizophrenia, which also causes jaundice. http://pn.psychiatryonline.org/content/37/24/21.1.full

So there may be some maternal/ fetal immunological component to autism.

As an aside, I have personally known two children (in my dd's special day class) who actually DID have vaccination damage. In their cases, it was absolutely clear where the damage came from bc they were developing normally before the pertussis vaccine, then had fever and seizures and brain damage afterwards. (This was b4 they started giving the acellular pertussis.)

Sorry to do a brain dump, but this happens to be a special interest of mine. (Along with economics. )

By who - the same folk who told us Radium was not dangerous, that TEL had no environmental impact, that Aspartame was safe ?
You know, the same folk who would stand to be legally and financially penalized should such be the case ?

Uh huh, that's as predictable as a police internal investigation finding "no evidence of misconduct", and about as credible.

That is, however, not to say it's a stand-alone cause - again, we americans live in a toxic soup of nasty elements, from the well intentioned but downright stupidity of MBTE, to lead paint, all the way down to stuff like carpet cleaning solvents, that stuff can build up - but there's plenty of hard evidence that Thimerosal and Adjuvants can incur, or radically worsen, symptoms that may not have been previously detectable as well.

Thing is, all the "research" being done is generally done with an agenda, and sloppy science besides - cause in point, one good sweep of the testing criteria under which Gardasil was considered "safe and effective" is enough to give ANYONE with any scientific knowledge worth a damn the willies, and worse, american "science" is fairly untrustworthy as it is - I mean, how long has the rest of the world known certain food colorings and additives can influence child behavior, and the US is *still* coming up with "studies" that "disprove" it ?

ETA: Apparently not quite ALL of it - Thank you Siggy, and imma goin after those databases with the electronic equivalent of a vaccuum cleaner!

So forgive me if I am perhaps more than a bit skeptical of that assessment, especially with the emotional impact of losing a family member who chose to believe THOSE people over her "crazy" uncle, and paid the dearest price for it - imma take one holy hell of a lot of convincing.

Don't be offended by that, mind you - I am not dismissing you out of hand, Magons, and I generally consider non-US science to be superior, it's just that all the evidence *I* have brings me to a different conclusion.

Again, I am not anti-vaccination, but we have a moral duty to insure the damn things are both safe, and effective - and since there is substantial evidence that certain percentage of the population will take harm, possibly die, from the ones we have, it should be absolutely imperative to find out WHY, figure some way to catch that in advance, and come up with an alternate solution rather than, well, more or less murdering them for the safety of the rest - I cannot countenance such a thing, not then, not now, not ever.

As far as Autism goes, it's a damn sad thing we know so very LITTLE about it, and most of what we DO know has been researched by the Autistic themselves - we still can't reliably tell which symptoms have a physical, versus psychological trigger, and the pathetic bit I know it is only from crossover via dealing with folk so severely abused that conventional psych has written them off as hopeless...

It was dealing with the catatonic, or semi-catatonic, that inspired the reverse flash of the seemingly counter-intuitive idea of sensory deprivation/limitation and the possiblity of the problem being an "overload"...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sensory_defensiveness
Something which we found great effect in a sleep mask, soundproof room, and an aromatherapy generator set on baking bread or laundry across the room, as a theraputic solution - but honestly it was all much like quietly exploring a minefield in the dark by touch cause no one KNOWS anything, and half the folk who seem to are either full of it, or blinded by their own preconceptions, and it's not like we're infallible either.

We've been trying for a while to come up with a modular version of this...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snoezelen
But have run afoul of technical problems and limitations repeatedly - I would however, suggest looting any Swedish, Finnish, Icelandic or Norwegian source you can, they seem to know a hell of a lot more about this stuff than we do, or maybe they just CARE more, it certainly seems the latter to me, but the big problem there lies in some of the translations...

Again, please forgive me if I come off a little obnoxious on this one, I have some pretty obvious reasons for it, nor am I being dismissive, cause if you have solid scientific evidence either way I wouldn't mind seeing it, or anything at ALL useful on Autism, other than "cast them out" or "medicate them into catatonia", argh.

For the record, I don't call conspiracy on the vaccine problem, save in the specific case of "Swine Flu" cause that's two for two Rumsfeld and GD Searle have tried that game - overall it seems more a combination of greed, arrogance, and a refusal to admit fault backed up by a lot of "this-is-the-way-it-is" hidebound thinking and failure to innovate or adapt, something WE should be doing at LEAST as fast as the threats do, but our science types can't seem to wrap their mind around it any more than our automotive engineers can conceive of a car running something other than the basic Otto engine format, you see ?

We could do BETTER, we SHOULD do better, and we don't, cause we waste all the time and effort we SHOULD put into innovation on trying to "prove" that this way or that way is "the only right way!", and don't you know, that sounds a hell of a lot more like religion to me than it does science.
And it kinda reminds me of the crabby old bastards who'd go out and buy a paper cause they didn't trust what that newfangled picturebox (TV) said...

Would YOU trust him and his cronies ?

Oh hell Siggy - GIMME!

If you have a study that can show up these things, which can be radically exploded in severity by vaccination, and a way to detect them before that...

GIVE IT OVER!!!

Shit doll, I'll use every connection I got to ram it down the throats of these hidebound "gotta break some eggs to make an omlette" assholes.

ETA: Ok, yah, imma try to track it down, but a link would be handy, even if it's a protected database cause you know exactly how LITTLE imma care about that...

Oh, and this ?

So there may be some maternal/ fetal immunological component to autism.

Kinda makes me wonder if there might be some small contribution there to my antisocial hostility, general misanthropy and rejection of other human beings, cause I've ALWAYS been like that - and as I mentioned, I was kinda supposed to have been stillborn cause I was at war with my mothers immune system during the whole pregnancy...

Or... maybe I was just born an asshole.

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Will need way too much time right now as this is a complex topic. Sorry to say my time on the board is severely limited. Maybe after Xmas (yeah truly that busy).

DREAMTROVE

Chris

We're like one of those characters in a freaky friday episode, where someone else has taken control of our body (Hey, Buffy did it twice)

Someone else is writing policy and pretending to be America. And they're killing our cool. All this study of history makes me think that its happened before, not just to us, and our fragments, but to Germany, gnaw on that for a second, and now to Israel as well, and probably Britain, Rome and possibly Spain, Russia, China and certainly Japan. I guess this is how it feels to be a puppet state.

No worries, Siggy - I think I got enough for the follow through, I just need to bip on down to UofM's Biology dept and start harrassing people, but I can get away with it cause of heavy cred with the Pysch boys.

What it's looking more and more like to me, is that these are biological triggers, here, and the longer we can dodge around pulling them, the less damage they do when set off - and certain vaccine components (preservatives, adjuvants, unknown?) act in a catalytic? fashion, like accelerants on a fire, and kaboom, multiplying the damage tremendously.

This NEEDS MORE RESEARCH, and I think I can browbeat, bribe and bully some of the Bio wiz kids, especially since they can run it as classwork for credit, or even "make their bones" with it, since all the data seems to be there, including VAERS, such as it is, but it's just a matter of putting it all together in a coherent form, as well I've got a half-assed AI which can sweep it for statistical anomolies.

Of course, you and I both know that's only half the battle - the other half is gonna be pounding it into the heads of hidebound "this-is-the-only-right-way" buttheads who cling to this or that opinion as if it were the holy gospel, arrgh.

I wasn't kidding that sometimes science seems more religion with some folk than anything else - this has ever been a problem with medical advances (hell, look how long it took em to accept the existence of bacteria?) and that is compounded by the problematic lack of trust goin on thanks to all the lies and distortions for profit and politics, gahh.

Anyhows, I think we got enough to start workin it with, and I appreciate the hell of the linkage, it's helped immensely.

Chris, I think that as long as you are the richest nation, that yours and mine and other rich nations will have enemies from amongst those who don't have our wealth and power...that's kind of how things go. So in some ways you do create your enemies, purely by being wealthy and powerful. Making catastrophic foreign policy decisions based on ignorance and ideology doesn't helph either But as long as there are people, there will be conflict...it's just how it's going to get sorted that you decide.

Re illnesses, I'm with you on the preventitive stuff, and I'm also a big believer in how we live determining how we feel, both physically and psycholoigcally. As a nation (Australia) we've never been so wealthy, so we get told. We're also working longer hours, spending less time with family and friends, eating more, drinking more alcohol and medicating using drugs illegal and legal, killing ourselves more, suffering from obseity related illnesses and mental health than ever before. We've got sick nation syndrome, man. We should be at the beach.

re road deaths. Cars were a big mistake. End of story.

Yeah, we do, don't we?
