So we can get people like this into office. This is what I mean by "better democrats."

Eric Schneiderman was perhaps the only democrat I voted for last election, and he has not disappointed. All my third party votes help to weaken the corporatist candidates by comparison, sending a signal to the party that this is what I want.

Anyway, here's the story:

NY Att. gen. Subpoenas energy companies over bogus yield claims.

Very nicely done Mr. Schneiderman!

Of course it's absolutely essential to oppose your own "side" at times, cause otherwise it comes down to "just following orders" and go-along-to-get-along, the song of the blind god.

I sincerely doubt you could find a single anarchist around here who's actually active in the community who HASN'T had a verbal flaying at my hands, something which no few of em, especially the more nihilistic ones, ain't real pleased with.

Despite that, and the general cat-herding lack of cooperation amongst them, anarchists tend to make alliances based on mutual benefit even if it grinds their nerves to do it - other political factions could take a lesson from that, but they rarely do.

PS. Perhaps because Anarchy doesn't really HAVE a concept of treason, has no party lines to cross, maybe...

Oh, from what I've seen I think they have a very clear concept of treason: that which is a direct danger to the country. NOT a danger to the government, but a danger to the COUNTRY. And both major parties have been guilty.

It's that they don't have a sense of loyalty, at least when it comes to any particular political party.

I tend to vote Democratic, but can't recall having ever voted a straight ticket. My vote is theirs to lose, but lose it the party damned well can. And has in the past. But if there's a race in which the major-party candidate (from either party) is running against only a libertarian or a Green candidate, or pretty much any other third-party candidate, I'll vote for the third-party guy pretty regularly, simply to send that message.

A lot of folk in office are aiding and abetting this terorist attack on america, but a lot more are doing nothing to defend it, which is probably also treason,
