Oh, gawd, I almost when I read that title. If anyone ever wondered about Wulf and his "intelligence", they only need remember this thread!

I know reading isn't your strong suit, Wulf, but have you bothered to read ANY of the stuff Mike (who lives in Texas, remember, and has had Perry for Governor for a while now) posted?

Silly me, I know...

Actually Nicki, I was just wondering if anyone thought that this might be a possibility.

A Libertarian/Conservative might just be the "ticket" to run against a Socialist/Marxist.

But hey, silly me for even putting a question out there.

Only question Nick, which is the genius and which is insane?

"Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?"

" I dunno, Brain. If we eliminate the income tax, how will we ever afford to pay the morality police to go around and punish sinful people?"

You are of course joking, Wulf. Nobody seriously believes Perry has a chance, and EVERYONE knows Paul has been dumped by his own "party" (since he's considered Republican-ish). The first article has nothing about fear in it; the second is just plain silly. Your "terrified" remark is exactly what we'd expect of you, nothing more. If you look at the responses, you'll see that yes, you were silly to put it out there!

How about some stuff from the other side?

Appears some are urging a Perry/Guiliani ticket, too:
Quote:

One of New York’s best-known Republicans is calling on presidential hopeful Rick Perry to choose Rudy Giuliani as his running mate for next year’s election, according to Rrederic U.Dicker, veteran politics reporter for the New York Post.
Desperation, anyone?

Here's a few ideas you might find interesting, Wulf:

Some people think that it should be Paul instead of Paul at the top of the ticket, but those people are obviously idiots.

If they can figure out a way to cram Angle's name on there too, this ticket would be unstoppable

Then from 2008 there's
Quote:

It was after Samuel "Joe the Plumber" Wurzelbacher was brought out as a surprise guest by Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin at a rally in the battleground state of Ohio that high ranking Republican party officials began hinting at a possible Palin-Wurzelbacher ticket in 2012. And neither Palin nor Wurzelbacher is denying it.

After a recent rally in Jeffersonville, Indiana, an Associate Press reporter asked Governor Palin the question about the possible 2012 ticket. "Gosh, I can't speak for Joe, but ya' know, Presidential tickets do need two people. Actually, they need four, because you need to run against two other people. That's why we have a democracy, for which I stand." After a long pause, the AP reporter re-asked the question: Would two of those people be Palin and Wurzelbacher? "I guess you could say two of those people could be me and Joe?the Plumber, not Biden. See, he's a Democrat, and the Vice President. I mean, uh?okay then."

Or in 2009:
Quote:

A Sarah Palin-Rick Perry GOP ticket in '12? She endorses him in Texas primary
.....
"He walks the walk of a true conservative," Palin writes. "And he sticks by his guns -- and you know how I feel about guns."

That one's not even satire, it's what she said!

I can't beat that Pinky and the Brain bit tho', try as I might.

Okay, I've had my fun...which is far more enjoyable than actually discussing a Paul/Perry or Perry/Paul idea.

Like a poll today will mean ANYTHING by the time the election rolls around. I'll have to remember to remind you of this when the election gets close.

Ron Paul hasn't a snowball's chance in hell of being nominated; even tho' I admire some of his stances and find some of his ideas interesting, there is NO WAY they will put him up as Republican candidate for President.

Get a grip, Wulf, and do TRY to join the real world occasionally.

As painful as I'm sure next year will be with the complete ridiculousness of the coverage of the campaigns, I will admit that one thing I am looking very forward to is nine months from now when Ron Paul has dropped out of the race and faded once again from public conscious no matter how much his little sheep like Wulf may bleat about how super awesome he is.

Socialist and unashamed about it.

I dunno, I like having him around. Don't want to see him in POWER, mind you, but he says it like it is often, and I think he has many contributions to offer. I hope he doesn't just disappear; personally, I think there's little likelihood of that. I feel like he's on a "mission", and I hope he stays on it. Just not as Prez.

Yep.

I'm sure Ron Paul is going to quit. He did last time... remember? He had no chance of getting a nomination, and the entire media was against him...

Not to mention that every Republican has written him off... over and over again.

Crazy Ron Paul.

And the crazy people who believe in his message.

Yep. You guys have got it all wrapped up.

I do not fear that which has impossible odds of happening.. When flying on an airplane, I'm confident nobody will be hijacking the airplane. When outside in a thunderstorm, I'm confident I will not be struck by lightning. And when I go to vote next November, I'm confident I will not see Ron Paul's name anywhere on the ballot. Just as I'm sure Wulf has no fear of whoever will get the nomination from Socialist Party USA being elected president.

Socialist and unashamed about it.

Well, he DID say that Paul/Perry would be running against a Socialist/Marxist... Maybe he DOES think there's a winning candidate running on the Socialist Party USA ticket. If not, then I have no idea who it is he's thinking of.

Anthony, you are known far and wide around these parts as a reasonable person with some libertarian and conservative leanings, and a few liberal leanings as well, but mostly for your willingness to listen to other points of view and take them into account. Your credibility will not be assailed because someone like Wulf likes the same candidate you do; no worries there. There are things *I* like about Dr. Paul, too.

Wulfie says things like

Quote:

Libs and Progs are terrified!

And thats just fine with me.

- and it never occurs to him to wonder if HE should be terrified as well, because he is virtually certain that he will be the lap-dog of the new masters, and if he's a good boy, he'll never taste the whip or the lash.

Anthony wants to know not just WHO is terrified, but WHY, and OF WHOM. Kind of a large difference there, and one which I despair of Wulf ever comprehending or appreciating. As far as Wulfie is concerned, if there were a roving gang of serial killers - or even a "black flash mob" - who was targeting only "libs/progs", he not only wouldn't want them stopped, HE'D WANT TO JOIN THEIR RANKS! He's pro-life, unless it's "liberal" life. He's against murder, unless it's "liberals" being murdered. He doesn't want the government rounding people up and putting them in camps, unless it's HIS party that's doing the rounding up, and it's "liberals" being put into the camps.

That's the major difference, and it's not a subtle one. Wulfie supports Ron Paul, but Ron Paul would not support Wulfie.

I'm actually for Ron Paul. As far as I've read, hes been very steadfast in his beliefs, and has stuck to a strict Constitutional interpretation of laws. Which is refreshing in its uniquness.

I don't know if he will be on the ballot in Novemeber, but if he is then I will be voting for him. I may even do a write in, if he isn't. Because so far, the other candidates are not to my liking and I am not a fan of Obama.

Does he have some "out there" ideas? Sure. However, what we have now isn't working, and hasn't worked, for years. So I'm willing to see what his ideas can do.

Wulf's new tactic is pretty sad...he's taken to doing virtually nothing but "neener, neener" like a kid on the schoolyard. He thinks it gains him... I can't figure out WHAT...but it makes him the most obvious weak link here. At least Raptor has things to say--insane things, ugly things sometimes, but SOMETHING. Maybe this is Wulf's way of protecting himself from every being found wrong or something. Whatever it is, his posts aren't much worth reading anymore. He's more fun when he's screaming "Blacks are out to get us!" and so forth.

You're right, Niki - about all he has to offer lately is "global warming!" and "Libs/progs are terrified!". He's becoming the Charlie Sheen of RWED along with Rappy - showing up in what might as well be a drug-fueled haze. spewing out "Durh - WINNING!" and stumbling off somewhere in a cloud of asinine.

What's simultaneously amazing and pathetic is that they both think they've made valid arguments by doing this.
