Poor Sarah. Everyone's out to get her yet again
Quote:

One week after the release of a controversial book on Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor threatened to sue the book's author for including what her lawyer called a "series of lies and rumors presented as fact."

The book, "The Rogue," by Joe McGinniss, has received widespread attention since McGinniss moved in next door to Palin to begin writing in 2010.

Shortly before the book hit shelves last week, Palin's husband, Todd, lashed out at McGinniss, saying the author had been "relentlessly" stalking his family and filled the book with "lies, innuendo and smears."

In a letter sent to the book's publisher, Crown Publishing Group, Palin's lawyer said Monday both McGinniss and Crown knowingly published false information and "defamed the Palins."

McGinniss has staunchly defended the title.

"Believe me, I'm so sick of Sarah Palin right now, that after this couple (of) weeks is over, I hope to never hear her name again," McGinniss said last week on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight."

McGinniss said that he had originally set out to write a book about Alaska, when Palin was picked as the 2008 vice presidential running mate for Sen. John McCain

"That made her synonymous with Alaska," McGinniss said. "My book about Alaska became a book about Sarah Palin."

The book has received criticism from a number of news outlets, including The New York Times, which said the book "chases caustic, unsubstantiated gossip."

It has also been hit with harsh reviews over its use of anonymous sources for stories about Palin’s past.

But McGinniss stands by the book's accuracy.

"Sarah Palin has lived an outrageous life," McGinniss said on CNN's "American Morning" last week. "All I did was talk to people about it, and they documented it for me. When I was comfortable with the veracity of what I heard, I put it into the book. There were a lot of things that I wasn't comfortable with, that I didn't put them in." http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/09/27/palin-threatening-laws

Not up to me to determine whether the guy is a shmuck with her in his cross hairs or everything he wrote is true, I just get a kick out of her "victimization".

Hope she does it, and bankrupts this degenerate low life.

Of course, if this was Breitbart, going after Hillary, or Princess Pelosi, Niki would be all on board for litigation, and would even pony up some coin to help the legal defense fund.

But because it's a conservative woman being viciously attacked ?

Meh...

I'm not the one always crying victim, Geezer; as long as she keeps doing it all the time, and hypocritically calls the media the "lame-stream media" yet does everything she possibly can to get their attention (as in her recent activity of showing up to share the limelight with the ACTUAL GOP candidates and teasing that she might run, which she won't), she makes herself the joke, nobody else does. The fact that I (and many others) are amused by her antics and her constantly making herself the victim in no way makes me what you say.

And, by the way, if ANYONE behaved like her, I'd feel the same. Has nothing to do with WHO they are, but how they behave. Also, your blindness has overcome you, Rap; I've been very clear numerous times that I am NOT a fan of Pelosi, and am glad she's not MY representative. Nor am I a fan of Hillary, by far. On the other hand, Breitbart's actions have shown HIM for what he is, so anyone he goes after has my sympathy (and of course, he ONLY goes after people on the left, and has been proven conclusively to do so with lies and fraud).

The lady is a walking hypocrisy, doing everything she can for attention then bitching when ANY of it is negative. She brings it on herself, nobody "does it" TO her. If anything, it is she who is small, mean...and vengeful! How many famous people threaten to sue "unauthorized" biographers?

Would I sue if someone wrote a dirty book about me? Well I'd think about it, since that is defemation of charactor. But I'd be hesitant because that is free speech and the rutter does technically have the right to do it. I'd certainly discount everything in it, but would I sue, I don't know.

I hope she sues him, too.

Because then she will have to go on the record, under oath. And a whole lot of stuff will be entered into evidence in open court.

So Niki, Palin 'brought it on herself' when this nut case moved in next door, specifically to spy on her ?

Really?

wow... Just wow.

Considering that even such Liberal bastions as the NY Times and Washington Post have called this book, in effect, a collection of myths, lies, unsubstantuated rumors, and conspiracy theories, 'victim' might be the proper description in this case. You might also consider that this 'biography' will have an effect, not just on Palin, but on her family.

My mistake; I was thinking and should have written "How many people SUCCESSFULLY sue". Given the litigious nature of our society, I KNOW people sue over any tiny thing. Seems to me if she sues, she has to SHOW that what he wrote are lies, which should be interesting to watch.

I wasn't talking about having this guy move in next door, etc., by the way, I meant all the other things I posted. She has shown herself time and time again to be vengeful when someone say something she doesn't like, but mostly it's how she cheerfully knocks the "lame-stream media" while courting their attention like mad. I would laugh at anyone who behaved that way, and she's also playing her base false, constantly teasing them that she might get in the race, when anyone with half a brain knows she has no intention to, she's just keeping her profile high to get them juicy speaking fees. And the attention.

Palin used to be a source of amusement; now she's just boring and her lack of ethics disgusts me.
