Hello,

This is why people think religion is full of nutters.

Some religious groups were enraged at a TLC show called All-American Muslim failed to portray Muslims as being bloodthirsty, evil killers. Lowe's had purchased ad-space that included airings of their commercials during the show. But negative comments on their forums convinced Lowe's to pull their ads just before religious groups delivered formal requests that the ads be pulled.

So the message here is, "If you dare show Muslims as anything other than sadistic savages, we will sink you."

I think the appropriate response is to flood Lowe's with plans of boycott to not support their religious bigotry. That is the only way to make a corporation grow a backbone.

Yanno, most of the Muslim folk I know, with a few exceptions, are pretty laid back, although they do find a dark, bitter and ironic amusment at being portrayed as savage and bloodthirsty by folks who do much the same but dress it up prettier instead of being honest about it...

Anyhows, there's a certain amusement factor in being labelled a villain no matter what you do, and then just deciding to roll with it in a mocking and amusing fashion, this I know all too well.

So I was speaking to one of these guys recently, and he said maybe he oughta get a big fancy turban and a plastic scimitar and stomp around glaring at people next time they have a CAIR meeting as a piss-take against the whole notion.

I offered to buy the scimitar.

I would only temper it to "hey, shmuckos." because really it's not all of christianity you're angry at, it's some random loon, and lowes, which, for some reason, listened to this otherwise rather irrelevant character.
