I'm bettin she didn't even try to argue the point. She prolly thought it was just some big joke and that she'd get a free round-trip adventure out of it... Hmmmm. Maybe I should say I'm from a nice tropical country and I'm here illegally???

Oh I doubt it - the jackboot mentality exists on its paperwork, if the paperwork says your dead they'll shovel you in kicking and screaming...

And when that mentality meets the rampant crusaderism and lack of accountability within ICE, these sorta things can happen, oh yes.

At least I'll never have to worry about mistaken identity with them, they're still pissed at me for getting forcibly deported (unofficially) from Mexico some many years ago.

That whole refusing to return the kid though, that's out of line, but of course they don't wanna rock the boat of one of their primary suppliers, since ICE runs as much or more drugs as any other alphabet agency.
