I won't necessarily be disappointed, at least if Romney loses. RELIEVED, would be the best I can come up with. Definitely "grateful" for what WON'T happen because Romney (and more specifically, Ryan And The Tea Party Boys) doesn't get the power to do it.

Republicans are in position to extend their recent gains among governors as they compete for seats they haven't won in a quarter-century. Republicans have been aided by a cash advantage, with the RGA raising about twice as much as the Democratic Governors Association during this election cycle. Both sides have invested in three other states held by Democrats – Washington, New Hampshire and Montana – that are seen as too close to call.

Having learned from the anti-choice crowd in a way, the GOP has realized that they can control a LOT in the country by focusing on governorships and state legislatures, the latter having the ability to affect Congress, given its power of redistricting. Just as the anti-choice crowd, realizing Roe v. Wade was here to stay (for a while at least), turned to all the other tactics they've employed: state laws and regulations, etc., so has the GOP realized that if they get Reublicans in power in the STATES, they can increase their power in several ways. How big were those gains from 2010? Very big. The GOP now controls 59 legislative chambers, the Democrats control 37 and two are tied. Nebraska has a unicameral, nonpartisan legislature. One of many factors. Deregulation is a favourite trick of Rethuglicans to get money moving, and it works, just not in a way that helps many but the rich.
The money boys wanted the go ahead to do a lot of things, including dirtier power. Short term is their vision, get rich by 40 & retire- let the poor schleps next in line do the clean up & restructuring. Long term means fewer insanely nuevo rich, so of course Obama is not their guy.

You know, I hear about people complaining that regulations are killing coal all the time. But I've heard the CEO of Rocky Mountain power (who deals primarily in coal) say that it's not the coal regulations killing coal. It's that coal is simply becoming obsolete. Coal power plants are so outdated that even if regulations went back 20 years, most of them would still be closed and decommissioned in 5 to 10 years. They're old, they're breaking down, maintenance and upkeep is a bitch, and they can't keep up with electricity demands. There's not much reason to build new coal plants, and not much reason to fix up old ones.
