I thought the same too, as round-a-bouts tend to look a lot like each other. However, it " may " be the same location, but taken from a different vantage point. The 2nd pic possibly could be taken from a point that's to the right of the first pick. See the yellow building, to the top right ? The 2nd pic may be from a spot down that avenue, so that we're seeing it from the side, and not so much head on, as in the first pic.


Or not.

The intersection in the 2nd pic does appear smaller than the first.

It's not the same location, but the idea is right: that roundabout undoubtedly had traffic before it was blown up. Pics of Tripoli before the US-Al Qaeda attack looked prosperous and busy as well. These Arab enemies of ours are not poor third world countries.
