I really don't understand the multi-year fascination with this man or this case.

How come when we're talking about Tiger Woods we forget that he's half Asian? Whether it's white or black people talking about him, he's the black dude that's awesome at golf. When we talk about Zimmerman it's always honkey this or cracker this.

I dunno, perhaps inadvertantly it's a good thing that TVM called him a bunch of white slurs. It's progress. They're still black, and we're still white, but even Mexicans and Puerto Ricans and Cubans are just "crackers" now apparently. Nobody I know would ever think this guy was white.....

If I were being followed by him, I'd be telling my friend on the phone that I was being followed by some crazy beaner or taco bender. Maybe that's just me....

All I'm saying is that in the mean time, there's been a whole lot of lost black youth that have murdered helpless white men and nobody talks about that more than a week tops. Hell... three of them even created an International Incident and was quoted as doing it "for the fun of it"!

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/teenagers-allegedly-murder-college-b
aseball-player-boredom-article-1.1431445

Former deputy prime minister Tim Fischer criticized the National Rifle Association and asked Australians to avoid the U.S. as a way to force its Congress to act on gun control.

"Tourists thinking of going to the USA should think twice," Fischer told the Herald Sun. "This is the bitter harvest and legacy of the policies of the NRA that even blocked background checks for people buying guns at gunshows. People should take this into account before going to the United States. I am deeply angry about this because of the callous attitude of the three teenagers (but) it's a sign of the proliferation of guns on the ground in the USA. There is a gun for almost every American.

Anybody who knows me here knows that I strongly defend the right to bear arms, but stories like this make it REALLY hard to defend my position.

My main point here though is how can we still be talking about Zimmerman 18+ months later when this story is SO MUCH MORE HORRIBLE, what with all the "I don't give a fuck I was bored" mentality of the murderers?

EDITED TO ADD: I'm glad that I'm always a generation behind in the new video game consoles. I'll have a PS3 in a few months that cost me $600 bucks less than when it came out. I'll have tons of games available to purchase at less than $20 a pop. Grand Theft Auto 4 will probably blow my mind years after it blew theirs. It's a shame they couldn't have just waited for Grand Theft Auto 5. I hear it just dropped.

Aside from the obvious contradiction of where the Police are 'asking for help' and yet ' will not elaborate on who is helping', where in the hell does the Secret Service play any legitimate role in this case ?

Anyone ?

Why would a Federal agency , under the direction of the Treasury Dept, be playing ANY role in an alleged domestic abuse case ?

Gee, maybe because it's George Zimmerman ? And he killed the Presidents pretend son ?

Seriously folks, what in the hell is going on here ?

George Zimmerman Divorce on Hold; He Can’t be Found to be Served
http://www.eurweb.com/2013/09/george-zimmerman-divorce-on-hold-he-cant
-be-found-to-be-served
/

"We hope Shellie Zimmerman has a plan b as far as serving George
Zimmerman with divorce papers.
"Yes, what we’re trying to say is that the divorce proceedings are
on hold because the Zman’s gone ghost."

A few articles covered this move; I actually chose the one least
critical of GZ.

As for this earlier rumor, "George Zimmerman 'a Sandy Hook waiting
to happen', police chief suggests," I disagree. I don't think George
is capable of mass murder for 2 reasons.

1. He'd have to see himself as the hero & pretty much follow his MO
with TM. i.e., Kill someone who could be cast as a potential criminal,
but with no witnesses.

2. He's not going to walk into a black ghetto, find a buncha kids
playing ball and start shooting them, 'cause they or their parents
would probably shoot back.

While he doesn't show much self control, George likes to stay in
control of others and of the situation.

How long will he stay out of sight? ... Not long.

Sorryjerk doesn't have a brain, so strawman is the best he can do. The real answer to the question of why so little attention is.....
because the vile race baiters and race hustlers like Sharptopn and Obama didn't have an angle here to throw out to their useful idiot liberal lemmings. Black on White crime just doesn't sell on MSNBC, and Black on Black crime ...well they don't ever think or talk about that. Forget that 13 Blacks were shot in just one night last week in Chicago including a 3 year old Black child....if a Caucasian didn't do it, it's not newsworthy, and it never really happened.

Zimmerman is not a well man. He is just itching to find another reason to shoot his gun (that's why he carries it). Trouble is he will find a reason to shoot. In his mind, he's right and his proof - the trial.

Yes, he did help those poor people who's car overturned. He needed that to show he's just an average guy. But he's not. Would you have followed the teenager if, as he claims, he feared for his life? Not me, I would have waited for the cops and let them handle it. What would have happened if Trayvon had a gun?

Yes, he didn't know if Trayvon had a gun hidden in his belt or in his hoodie pocket. That proves my point that he was stalking. He had to assume, since he was convinced he was up to no good, that he had a gun. Either way Zimmerman had his mind made up - this "man" was dangerous and had to be stopped.

And when you've been shown to have no legitimate argument, you double down on your straw man positions, claiming others don't know what that means.

Zimmerman wasn't out looking to kill some black kid, merely because hew as 'bored', so strike one. He didn't 'get off' , but was found to have been defending himself. strike two.

And there never was any legion of rednecks who thought Trayvon " deserved " to die. It was the tragic consequence of choices made. But what MOST thinking folks ( not 'rednecks',as you'd love to call them ) saw in the race baiting and pandering to the lowest common denominator by the MSM, a select few loudmouths and even worse, our President. THAT is what probably pissed everyone off even more.

Your simple mind can't process, so instead, you hurl out spin and deception.

Seriously Storybook, why not quite while you're pitifully behind ?

Actually, he carried it because he had the legal right to do so. He IS right, because of the trial, and the 2nd Amendment.

Do you assume ALL those who carry do so because they're " itching" to find a reason to shoot someone? Seriously ?

In an instant, I'm SURE he thought of just turning away, and not offering anyone help. That's what a "average" guy would do, right ?
Your account of the night of the shooting differs greatly from the evidence given and shown in the trial.

Someone has written an article about George Zimmerman in WikiPedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Zimmerman

Says he has "some black ancestry." I wonder if that's important to him (?).

The Wiki article references include this by Scott Thuman of ABC:

Zimmerman publicly accused Sanford police of corruption in 2011
http://www.wjla.com/articles/2012/05/zimmerman-publicly-accused-sanfor
d-police-of-corruption-in-2011-76322.html

"George Zimmerman accused the Sanford police department of corruption
more than a year before he shot Trayvon Martin, saying at a public forum
the agency covered up the beating of a black homeless man by the son of
a white officer."

Hmmm. If true, I may owe GZ an apology. Puzzling.
Did this influence his relationship with Sanford police?

Recent, "George Zimmerman Saves Family from Burning Van."
That didn't sound like GZ IMO, so in a few days when counter stories came
out saying that GZ's heroism was a hoax, I immediately took that side.

Now I'm kinda looking at an earlier teaching: Never believe anything you
read in the News.

George Zimmerman Accused of Stealing From Mother-in-Law
http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/riptide/2013/09/george_zimmerman_accuse
d_of_st.php

"George Zimmerman may have avoided jail time for killing Trayvon Martin,
but the man can not seem to stay out of legal trouble ever since. Now his
soon-to-be-ex-Motherin-in-Law has filed a police report claiming that
Zimmerman stole furniture and a television from a home they own.

"According to CBS News, Machelle Dean, Shellie Zimmerman's mother, called
police to inform them that hundreds of dollars worth of items were stolen
from the home and that the home had been damaged.

"Though the home is owned by Shellie's parents, George and Shellie had
been living in the home. However, Shellie has filed for divorce and
Zimmerman was supposed to be out of the home officially yesterday.

"CBS News says that police officially have no suspects, but TMZ reports
that Dean had named George Zimmerman in the police report.

"Police are still investigating and its unclear if the matter will be treated
as a criminal or civil matter.

"Zimmerman has been involved in a number of incidents since his acquittal,
including a string of traffic incidents. Though, last month police were
called to a domestic dispute in which Zimmerman allegedly hit his father
in law and threatened his wife with a gun. Shellie refused to press charges
at the time, but now claims she regrets doing so."
=======

As George is keeping his head down, this thief must have been a burglar.

They need a neighborhood watchman down there.

Meanwhile, in totally unrelated news ...

Marissa Alexander: "A Florida woman who claimed to be a victim of
abuse yet was sentenced to 20 years behind bars for allegedly firing
a warning shot during a dispute with her husband was granted a new
trial Thursday."

Oh, I'm glad she's getting a new trial. That was a travesty.

As to Zimmerman, I hope the guy gets some help. It's too bad his ex decided not to file charges (especially as she regrets it now), to me that "feels" like telling him he can go on getting away with whatever he wants, that he can intimidate others, which could have the effect of only worsening the situation. Better she should have filed charges at the time and have it get settled with facts and the law, tho' that might not have helped, either, who knows?

Then again, this whole family seems to have its share of problems. It's not impossible the ex-mother-in-law deciding to press charges now is her own form of retaliation. Just a sad situation all around regarding a sad bunch of folks, or so it seems.

Hee, hee, hee; thanx guys, I know it wasn't defense of me individually, but I got a kick out of it anyway. I wouldn't have seen what he posted if you hadn't quoted it, so thanx for the laugh. Where did he get the idea I had brothers? Oh, wait, it's Sux, silly me...

..."is something for University-level research in Vienna"...absolutely priceless, many thanx! Prize for first guffaw of the day, easy.

CNN's "Tragedy on Trial: The George Zimmerman Story" will be
as much about Sanford as the case that gripped the nation.

"You can't separate the two," reporter David Mattingly said
Thursday. "You have to understand the stage before you understand
the players."

The program, airing under the banner "Anderson Cooper Special
Report," will premiere at 10 p.m. Sunday.

America loves a winner!

I missed the special on the Tennessee couple who were tortured, raped and murdered. When will CNN produce THAT show ?

George hasn't done anything awful again yet. And everyone's tired of him.

So ... Update:

No charges to be filed against George Zimmerman over his dispute
with wife Shellie. ... He also gets to keep the stolen furniture.
