So, embellishing and exaggerating , to make you look all manner of stupid and to pull your chain is 'lying' ?

And I heard that Amish are simple folk.

You and Niki will have to do MUCH better than to use that as an example of me ' lying '. Seriously, get a clue. Y'all are fabricating issues with which to attack me on, because you can't not deal w/ actual real substantive ones.

If anyone is lying here, it's those who claim that i'm a 'racist' or some such, from things I've posted here or elsewhere.

Never once has anyone ever been able to support that bogus claim.

And you never will.

This is an ugly thread though, I won't be coming back into it.

Since you consider same-sex marriage, gay rights, legalization/ decriminalization of most drugs, etc., center right, I'd be interestd in knowing what you consider Liberal/Progressive positions. Actually I'd be interested in what any of the folks who haven't wished me dead consider Liberal/Progressive positions.

I do agree that this is an ugly thread. Where do you consider that most of the "ugly" is coming from?

I haven't wished you dead (you CAN swim, right?)! I can reply then!
Liberal/progressive means socialist as in considering the well being of the folk who participate in the system. Centerist means a combo of the systems. Right means eff you you're on your own.

Okay, then.

You think that the government should own the means of production?

So do I. I think government should make sure businesses honor contracts, obey laws, and not injure folks. That's part of Propertarian Libertarian thought.

So what do I do that, in your mind, makes me a Right-winger?

Goodbye, kind world (George Monbiot) - In common with all those generations which have contemplated catastrophe, we appear to be incapable of understanding what confronts us.

Well, since I've been included in the Right Wingers list above, here's some of the things I'm crazy enough to believe in.

- Gay rights.

- Racial equality.

- Same-sex marriage.

- Reproductive choice.

- Reduction in health-care costs.

- Decriminalization/legalization of most drugs.

- The democratic process.

- The right of law-abiding citizens to purchase and own firearms.

- Prosecution of folks who use firearms illegally, or procure firearms for folks not legally able to own them.

Guess what!

I believe in the Easter bunny! The Tooth Fairy! Santa Claus! Jesus! Mary! and Joseph! Harvey! And my personal Messiah, Obama!

How do you know I do? B/c I just said so! Therefore it must be true!

Sure you can't find any posts of me actually arguing for these! Or aguing against the people who would take these away! In fact, you'll even find some back-handed arguments against what I just said I believe!

But don't let a complete lack of proof in my entire posting history sway you! I really really do believe everything I just posted ! All of it! 100% !

Because when the 'establishment' puts us in 17 Trillion in debt, that's all MANNER of economic security, huh? Safety and security ? Unless you live in Chicago, I guess.

But providing for the common defense, that's sort of a basic function of govt, right ? Or it's suppose to be. Not exactly a tangible item that's 'made', but more of a general sense that's maintained.

And with the low # of folks who believe we're headed in the right direction, it seems the govt is failing its people in keeping up its end of the bargain.

Chris,IsAll

I've been away quite a while ... my first visit back and what do I see but an entire front-page of little jongsie spew. Again ... jeeze, give me a break ... And thinking back to years ago, the nuttiness is no better ... Not even a little bit.

I almost (but not quite) admire the complete persistance of delusion over all this time ... but why is it always 'them' over in la-la land? And why does that never, ever change?

What is wrong with them? I truly do wonder.

Gettin' old, but still a hippie at heart...

Chris, Rap is easily trainable...you just have to train him to something that SOUNDS like what he already wants to believe. Although he won't retain it, because something diametrically opposite will come along later and he'll deny what he "believed" before.

As far as "So, embellishing and exaggerating , to make you look all manner of stupid and to pull your chain is 'lying' ?"

Yes, it absolutely is, because he didn't "embellish" or "exaggerate", he made patently false statements. There you go, folks; to Rap, a patently false statement isn't a lie, it's only embellishment...ergo, he can say he has never lied. It doesn't make anyone look stupid except him, and shows clearly that he's a bald-faced liar. That's all you ever need to know; a liar and a parrot, looking for attention, period.

Kiki, what you wrote got me thinking. If anyone wanted to take the time, they could keep track of all the bizarre, so-far-out-there things Rap and Jong, etc., write, and compare it to what the "lefties" write, and wouldn't it be amazing....
