Math? Who needs math? It's just those damned "elitists" who believe in stupid things like science and math and such...

This is their interpretation of a recent study from Rasmussen Reports ( http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_state_
surveys/new_jersey/56_in_nj_think_christie_should_resign_if_he_knew_about_fort_lee_retaliation
):

In case you CAN do that nasty "math" stuff, you'll notice that the above totals 137%. Wow. (If you don't believe me, video is at http://www. youtube.com/watch?v=rwjhXxka5qc#t=23)

As numerous studies have shown, FauxNews isn't "news", it's FAUX news.

Here's what was written in Rasmussen:

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 54% of Likely New Jersey Voters believe it’s at least somewhat likely that Christie was aware that traffic lanes onto the George Washington Bridge were being closed as retaliation for the mayor of Fort Lee’s refusal to support the governor’s reelection. Thirty-six percent (36%) think it’s unlikely Christie was aware beforehand.( This includes 30% who say it’s Very Likely he was aware and 17% who say it’s Not At All Likely.}

Silly, and hardly worth mentioning , at all, really.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

The thirty-six percent think it's "unlikely Christie was aware beforehand"... "includes 30% who say it's VERY LIKELY he was aware and 17% who say it's not at all likely."

So you think the people who say it's unlikely that he knew about it include those who think it's "very likely" that he knew about it?

You're right, that is silly.

What I THINK isn't the issue here.

That's how the Rasmussen Report worded it, and seems the interns @ FOX simply took the numbers from the paragraph and tossed them up on the screen, with out trying to unpack what was actually being said.

Which means that Faux News is run by its internes, without supervision? There aren't any editors or producers, or even fact checkers? ( "Fact checkers? We don't need no stinkin' fact checkers...")

And that they can rip off Rasmussen's work, and do it incompetently?

Come to think of it, maybe all the editors and producers were busy slanting the news to make it "fair and balanced."

Apparently so, NewOld. Whatever constitutes "Fox News", it could never be responsible for anything wrong, obviously. To even point out the possibility is just "silly".

Rip off ? How about poorly reporting. They didn't claim the stats as their own, did they ?

It's sloppy work. No question. Slanted ? Not in the least. But hate on the one dissenting voice in a media that is otherwise entirely in the back pocket of the Left wing.

So Fox doesn't know how to read a poll?

And this surprises anyone how, exactly?

I doubt most could make heads or tales of this ...

But, since you're such a frelling Mensa candidate, I guess all others are idiots in comparison.

Apparently, like a lot of rwa posters here, they APPEAR to be able to read English. They just can't figure out what the words mean. So, anyone else reading the poll would go - hmm, that doesn't make sense. But, being unable to reach that inkling, FAUX News (sometimes referred to as FUX News), reported it AS IF it meant something.

You just admitted that those #s don't make sense. On this we agree. And we agree that FOX news butchered the reporting of this info, by clumsily taking a poorly written sentence from RASMUSSEN and just shoveling it , as is, onto their t.v. graphics.

So, there's not just the " appearance " of being able to read English, at all. Your juvenile attempts at insulting others, out of pure pettiness and blind partisanship, is what is causing friction here.

Then there's their "experts", who are also so "knowledgeable". Dr. Keith Ablow is a psychiatrist and member of the Fox News Medical A-Team, which provides him a platform to assert whatever he believes, even when he admits he has no data to back up his positions. Who better to provide faux news than a faux medical expert?
Quote:

Keith Ablow: Transgenders don't need protection because they don't exist

Ablow begins by claiming that young children who see others identifying as trans will want to be trans too, and in the process completely confuses the difference between sex and gender:

"The mere fact that teachers and administrators will have to explain to kindergarten and first-grade students that they might see girls in the boys’ restroom," he writes, "or boys in the girls’ locker room, but that those really aren’t kids of the gender they appear to be, could (and, here, data is sorely lacking) do harm to their own developing sense of self by suggesting to them that their gender is fluid, that it well might change for them, too, and that they should be on the lookout for signs that they want to switch."

From here, Ablow goes on to claim that transgenders do not even exist:

"What’s more, I don’t believe we have definitive data (although many psychiatrists with very impressive credentials, who seem to mean well, assert that we do) that any male or female soul has ever in the history of the world been born into the wrong anatomic gender.

"Let me put that more clearly: I am not convinced by any science I can find that people with definitively male DNA and definitively male anatomy can actually be locked in a cruel joke of nature because they are actually female."

By his own admission, Ablow's assertion relies on deliberate neglect of "many psychiatrists with very impressive credentials."

Who needs science when you've got a stick up your butt? Wouldn't you agree Keith? http://www.examiner.com/article/keith-ablow-transgenders-don-t-need-pr
otection-because-they-don-t-exist

SHINYGOODGUY

Come on guys, lay off Auraptor. For once, he's right.

It's obvious that interns took over Fox News, that bastion of all the news that's.......well, you get it, and totally messed up the math. There's no other explanation. These were probably the same people that fed Karl Rove the wrong info about Ohio on election night 2012. Anyone could plainly see that interns were to blame for that fiasco.

Those same interns also told Romney, "Hey it's 47%, just go with it."

The real news makers over at Fox must have turned their backs for a split and there you have it, Faux News. There simply can't be any other explanation. It might also explain the whole voter fraud numbers that have the Right up in arms. There simply can't be any other explanation.

So what that it's 137%, interns - they suck, am I right!?

(Paid for by the Fox News Team, editors and producers protection fund)

The paid help isn't doing very well either. The idea to plaster ALERT! over every damn routine report is beyond annoying.

Not everything has be a freaking 'ALERT', or is 'BREAKING NEWS!', as the brain trust at FOX seems to think.

But the antics of what goes on w/ the graphics ? I bet every one has their issues. Yet only FOX gets such an anal exam by the Left.
