oh helix the scandals. Endless endless scandals both real and exaggerated.

Scandals and misogyny. Why. WHY.

Also probably not going to help with stability in the Middle East, though really I'm not sure we have any candidate that can do that. Hillary might cause some wars though, I still remember how Clinton had a painkiller factory bombed. The Clintons are also hardline supporters of Israel even when Israel is doing all the shady stuff.

I really don’t know. I know all about Hillary but until she states what she would do if elected I can only speculate. I know she has major ties to Wall Street and I am not pleased with that. I know she is a hawk and I am not sure what consequences if any that would have (good or bad). I need to see her grilled by the press and commit herself to an agenda for America that we can hold her accountable to. I know so far I see no Republican I would even consider voting for over her. That bothers me, it makes me feel very limited in my choices.

One thing I did not realize about the tea party was that they will no longer put up with the Republican Party jumping into bed with big business. I did not realize this till just recently. The press is left leaning in this country and unfortunately they stick to the money topics, which is what the nuts are saying. If the tea party really shifts the Republicans into a more equal balance of business and worker I would be impressed. I may even start capitalizing tea party.

Good question

...Have they? I actually liked the tea party a little bit when they were more Ron Paul's group, before the stuff in his pamphlets came out.

But then it felt like they were hijacked by Glenn Beck, who is basically a huge commercial shill. And then a bunch of demagogues latched on like the parasites they are. Has the tea party distanced themselves from that a little?

If so they might get some of my respect back. Some of their policies, I don't know enough about economics to be able to say if they would be effective or disasterous. And I can sympathize a little bit with some of their platform, though I keep seeing examples of their members which give me pause.

I haven't thought about wars and such, only the big business side of what they say they believe in. A lot about the tea party gives me pause because of the extremist elements. What I would like to see though is when some from either party propose something that cuts off some of the influence of big business, those who campaigned on it will have to act. This attitude in the tea party does come from those who believe in the purest form of capitalism but it still may work to some advantage? At least these guys appear to be less hypocritical.

I seem to remember Bill & Hil being pro-Palestinian, visiting Gaza or the West Bank, and supporting a Palestinian international airport. Also supporters of the two state solution, as I recall.

Not complaining about that, mind, that's just how I remember it. Were/ are they playing both sides and hoping nobody would notice?

Helping Palestine with various humanitarian interests doesn't mean that they aren't hardline Israel supporters and war hawks. My understanding is that the Clintons have been pretty unhappy with Obama's approach to Israel, Obama has not been nearly as supportive as his predecessors.

"Former US secretary of state disapproved of early efforts by the White House to push Israel toward a complete freeze of settlement activity" and so on.

Which is one of the few things I've agreed with Obama on because establishing Israel after WW2 was kind of a terrible idea that destabilized the region, we should have just helped repatriate the Jews back to their original homes and told the bigoted assholes in Europe who didn't like it to deal with it because our money was funding reconstruction.

Letting Israel bully Palestine and push people off their land for Israel settlements is just not okay in any book and causes further tension and instability in the region.

Along those lines, that Citizens United Supreme Court ruling was possibly the worst thing to happen to the US in a hundred years. It's utterly screwing over our election system and undermining the constitution by flooding the process with money. :/

One of the side benefits of the tea party was I thought it could curtail come of the war mongering that was driving up the budget to insane degrees, but I haven't seen many of them speaking out against that, again not since Ron Paul days.

I might not have fuzzy feelings towards the military, but the last thing I want is to see all these normal kids go off to fight and come back completely broken. We really need less war, it's wrecking a lot of the current generation.

Spoiled... Hmm. Kinda too generalized, there are impoverished and homeless people who live here. People with good hearts and good intentions drowned out by the selfish ignorance.

Crazy, maybe. We seem to be uniformly crazy in every way. I think everyone and everywhere is probably a little crazy, but I think America has a concentrated dose of it.

This, exactly this.

MIGHT get a better healthcare system than this hodgepodge of crap which gives us all the flaws of privatized and socialized care and none of the benefits though - she's got some leverage with the health care industry, but it'd take a year and more to consolidate her position enough to bring it to bear properly.

But one thing I know for ABSOLUTELY sure, is that I'll have another bottle of my favorite tipple.

Normally I'd try to tell you that this is a sign of something wrong, but I too live in a moment by moment haze of memory-less oblivion.

As such, this explains a lot. It's actually not that bad. How can you regret what you can't remember?

Only in your case it's worrisome that it's self-induced, rather than a consequence of natural chemical imbalance.

I decided to repost this so those suggesting I was solidly in bed with the democrats and the mainstream media can eat shit. I told you trolls here I was independent and not a bleeding heart liberal. Trump changed everything and my first impression of the republican party at that time proved true. Nothing but cowards and sellouts and the tea party turned out to be nothing but weak tea crazies. Guess I won't be capitalizing anything. And Jack, well Jack's still a wack.

This was just posted today. "I'm so happy...." ?

That's your problem.

Just like I was kind of worried JSF was going to hurt himself with how down he was about the results, it's equally foolish to let these results put you on a manic high as well. Especially when it comes to lower level seats in the 49 states that aren't going to effect your life at all.

This has become a sporting event to you. You don't even know the policies or beliefs of any of these people that just made you so happy. They just had a "(D)" after their name.

Are you proud of what you've become?
