Hell yeah McCain is stupid.

Wanting to arm the Free Syrian Army isn't the same thing as heaping weapons and goodies towards ISIS.

There were " good guys " fighting against Assad. THEY are who we should have backed, and early on. But both sides dithered and ignored the problem , until it was too late and ISIS turned into the monster we now know.

I think the only problem with Obama arming anybody else that isn't American or a True Goddamned Friend is that we have this thing called wikipedia and you can see several examples of how this might not be such a good idea in the long run....

This is definitely an ongoing problem that the leaders of BOTH sides are equally as guilty of.

Obama's only sin here is that he's the latest asshole to try it.

I'm fairly confident that when we have our next Republican president voted in, in 2016, that all of the Democrats will bring up a story Eerily similar to this one and they'll be right that the new guy(gal?) is just as responsible for what is on that day, the "Worst foreign policy - EVER"

I am wondering if Hillary could possibly create an even worse foreign policy, but it is so hard to fathom such a catastrophe. Knowing her talents for ineptitude, I fear even more that she might succeed in such endeavors, so far beyond imagination.

I don't know if RapKnight supported McCain, but I certainly never did, not for anything he ever did or tried to do.
I do and have supported Sarah Palin, but even that choice of running mate was not enough to convince me to vote for the ticket. I did try to consider if McCain would be abe to croak quickly, making her POTUS, but I just couldn't convince myself it might happen - fortunately, because the slug is still alive and continuing to spout gibberish.

Nobody who supported the invasion of Iraq has any business ever criticizing any foreign policy matters ever again.
