Trying to ram everyone into the insurance companies' maws w/o offering an alternative. Prolly has to do with the fact that his campaign got 25% of funding from the healthcare industry.

I can't figure out if I want to cry, shoot someone, or bang my head against a wall 'cause it would feel better that way.

What I don't understand is, how come "the left" isn't campaigning full throttle against him???? I'll be HAPPY to put up some money to buy MAX BAUCUS: SELLOUT AND SHILL bumper stickers. Hell, if there was a demonstration I'd go! But where's the organization????

I have a vote and I'm not afraid to use it!

I keep thinking ... and WHO put Baucus in charge ?

So, how does this play out ? Obama - good guy wearing a white hat championing change for the 51 million or so who need health care. Baucus - sand in the gears put there by Obama to make sure it doesn't happen.

I'm crying already. The public option is all but dead, the requirement for employers to provide is going, the only thing that's gonna be left is the individual mandate: You have to buy insurance, contribute your personal dollars to a for-profit entity.
You don't have to, by law, buy a car, pay for gasoline, even buy food, and contribute your money to those for-profit businesses. Never mind that you do those things, you are not required by law to do so.

I find myself wondering if that wasn't the intention behind all this crap; to make a biiig fuss, then work behind the scenes to actually make it a bonus for the insurance companies, weaken it so much only THEY come out ahead.[quoteI can't figure out if I want to cry, shoot someone, or bang my head against a wall 'cause it would feel better that way.

I'm with you, but as to why the left isn't coming down on him? 'Cuz they don't have balls...hadn't you noticed that yet?

Thank you. The title says it all. Some things transcend any party line. Certain people are a menace, because they're just up for sale.

I've tried everything that I can do - individually and organizationally- to derail "Max". Signed a zillion petitions (Yeah, I know- count for nothing, but they're easy so why not.), made phone calls, donated money. I wrote letters to the editors to three of Montana's largest newspapers, and while they weren't published (I'm an outsider) I learned that Montanans are NOT rednecks, they're surprisingly liberal about health care, and a lot of them are fed up with Baucus. So it's not like Baucus is even representing his constituency.

Gonna write letters to editor to my hometown, my current residence, and nearest large city (LA) newspapers.

Anyone want some free MAX BAUCUS: SELLOUT AND SHILL bumper stickers? 'Cause I'll get them made up and send them to ya!

BTW- I'm serious about the bumper-sticker thing. I'm getting mine printed today.

The first one is a syringe on a red background.
Above the syringe: YES ON PUBLIC OPTION
Below the syringe: No more bloodsucking insurance$

The second is a green and white dollar-bill design.
In large font: MAX BAUCUS INSURANCE SHILL
in small font: Boot his a$$ off the hill.

Want 'em? Free? Just PM me.

BTW- you can email him directly through here:
