So, the dying woman's co-workers thought enough to contact you, and you thought enough to call a dispatcher for help, but none of that made you think that the woman was in any sort of trouble, in the least.

From the sound of it and the conflicting statements, it's my opinion we'll never know the truth of the original incident. "If it bleeds, it leads". I'm just sorry that there was some kind of mix-up in the first place, and sad for the families of all concerned, who are unquestionably suffering.
