Like woman, I am a mystery.

So, how'd everyone sleep? I slept great. And when I woke up this morning the sun was shining, the few birds left who haven't flown south yet were chirping and Barrack Obama was still the president with all the policies he's passed still intact.

And it's a great comfort to know that that's how I'm going to wake up every day from tomorrow through 2012.

Yup, me too. Nothing happened that I didn't expect, and some things didn't happen that I feared.

Not quite sure why the RWAs are convinced this is going to change things that much, control of the House doesn't actually mean much, and Americans still hate Republican Congressmen as much as they do Democrats. T'was about fear of the economy, not much more, and everyone will continue to be afraid.

The only thing I can hope for is that the Repubs will take a more active roll in legislating and, now they think they have power, be willing to compromise so SOMETHING can get done on smaller issues, anyway. I just hope the Dems grow some balls and don't compromise away the store...

And Obama can go right on doing what he's been doing with the power of the President, while the House is stymied by the Senate, just as they've been for two years. Nothing new there, and the hope that the Repubs can get a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate is pie in the sky. All is well, life goes on (so does the government, in the same old way, unfortunately, but we're used to that).

By the way, where are our RWAs? They were busting at the seams yesterday...is it that we're not crying in our beer, or did they realize the government won't change that much, or was it just more fun to holler about before it happened? NOT that I'm enoouraging them to put up more idiotic threads, just noticed...

Brock Obuma is now officially a political eunich. He'll have more time for golf, basketball, and more vacations now. Maybe by the end of his one term he will have learned to throw a ball like a man instead of the girly way he tosses now.

Bush threw a pretty good pitch, all manly-man and stuff. Sure made him a good Prez.

There's lots Obama can still do, and will. We got two years left at least, unless you put up Palin, in which case we got a guaranteed SIX!

But will anybody be able to teach him to salute an American Flag? Perhaps convince him it's the new Kenyan flag, so he'll show his Allegiance.

My take-away from this mid-terms:

Sarah Palin-endorsed candidates did far worse than expected. More of them lost than won, including in her own state, where her endorsement was about as helpful as the plague.

Tea Party candidates lost more than 67% of their races. Of 140 candidates endorsed by the tea parties, 95 of them lost.

The Tea Party cost the Republicans control of the Senate, and kept the election from being as significant a victory for the GOP as the '94 midterms were.

TeaBaglicans control the House, and that's all they control. Democrats still have the Senate - and the option to do away with the filibuster - and they still have the Executive branch.

The modern definition of "socialist" is anyone who's winning an argument against a tea-bagger.

You guys are hysterical...you have nothing to say, and you keep saying it.

Yeah Mike, the election didn't change much of anything, and the Tea Partiers loudly proclaim they will not compromise on ANYTHING. So Republicans won't be able to do anything, 'cuz governing is about compromising, so things will continue just as they have.

Let 'em have their fun, tho', they've had so little and soon enough will discover the reality.

Leftists always forget that only 20% of Americans call themselves Liberal. Despite their pathetic puny numbers they continue to say and do things that the vast majority of America detests. Things like their vile arrogance, their false sense of superior intelligence, their socialistic dogma, etc. This is witnessed in the rapid decline of all Liberal media outlets...liberal cable news, liberal newspapers are all teetering on bankruptcy because Americans have rejected them in overwhelming numbers. Obama thinks he got clobbered because he couldn't sell his ideas. The truth is Americans just didn't want to buy his shitty products.

If the Liberals and their media gurus continue their disgusting ways, continue to embrace far-left lunatics like Alan Grayson and George Soros, continue to mock and demean good ole regular folks, continue to bash Fox News, continue to bash anyone not of their particular demented ilk, they have zero future in America. Sarah Palin could beat any Dem at that point because America is sick to death of their condescending arrogance and bad ideas. That is the lesson these fools refuse to see. That is why they will continue to commit political suicide. Obama's entire coalition has been destroyed by Pelosi and the Dems. Independents, women, Hispanics etc. all went big for Republicans this election. The very fact that Libs here are trying to show some glee over this election is proof enough of their dishonesty and disconnection from reality. I hope they do not change. It will make full Republican control a cakewalk in 2012.

Oh, gawd, I'm having fun. I'm seeing just how self-deluded you guys are, watching you crow over Republicans gaining one house of Congress and calling it the victory of a lifetime.

All you can do is spout tired old talking points, which obviously you believe. It's sad; I recognize there are decent, human Republicans, which puts me waaaay ahead of you. As to mocking and demeaning, good lord, who's done more of that the past two years than the Republicans/Tea Partiers? What a joke!

I just posted in the "Run Sarah Run" thread the approval ratings of Sarah Palin...which are abysmal...and how afraid she'd get the nomination in 2012 the GOP is, countered with Hillary Clinton's approval ratings. I DO wish you'd nominate Palin, it would be a guaranteed second term for Obama; run anyone halfway decent, he might lose.

But keep it up, please; if you give her the nomination I will be tickled SHITLESS!

Truth is, you've only won Congress, the weaker of the two Houses, and with the Tea Party hollering about how they won't compromise with ANYONE, your candidates just guaranteed as stuck an electorate as we've had for the past two years. DO go on celebrating and dissing the Dems, both parties are in the dumps, approval-ratings wise, and this'll just keep 'em there through 2012.

Your pathetic Pagliacci act fools no one other than your fellow crying-under-their-makeup sad depressed clowns. You and Chris Mathews are both prime examples of why you smarmily smug pseudo-elitist whack jobs will never again have any real political power in America. Obama election was a rare fluke. Remember what George Bush said....You can fool some of the people some...er um...won't get fooled again!

Also, just a friendly gentle reminder:

11 Governorships went Republican...Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania...all key states in 2012 election were lost by Dems.

19 state legislatures flipped to Republicans..... re-districting will be sweet

Over 60 House seats won by Republicans

Over 500 legislative seats flipped to Republicans....the local and state Republican dominance will overshadow the national scene for the average American.

Yet yesterday, Pelosi and Obama both denied the real meaning of the election. That's great news for Republicans, and spells more disaster for Dems in 2012.

And Niki's just luvin' all that I'm so sure! LOL!~

Ooo, that's a keeper. I'll remind you of it later.

Do you HONESTLY believe we're "crying-under-their-makeup sad [and] depressed" over losing the House? Seriously? Now, if we'd lost the Senate, I'd have been a bit more upset, but just the House? I can only guess you're basing that on how YOU'D feel, which is pretty sad. There's another election in two years; will be others after that, why would I get seriously upset about a bunch of Tea Party newbies (most of whom didn't win anyway) who won't know how to deal once they get in the government anyway? The country's scared and angry; it won't stay that way and their own actions will condemn them in the next two years.

If I were disappointed by the results, that would be one thing. But the party in power ALWAYS loses the midterms, it's practically set in stone. I know why it happened; the fear of the American people over the economy. And the worst of the whackos didn't get elected, which is the only serious thing I was worried about. Boxer and Brown won, which was my focus, and a couple of good measures passed here in California. So like I said, I'm content.

But you ARE right in that I'm wasting too much time on this and it's already boring as hell, same as yesterday. All you guys can do is holler in absurd generalities and fantasize about libs/Dems/people who can THINK crying and "bleeding". We need some new topics of actual value, maybe in a few days some will come along. I need to go do something more enjoyable and less boring than being here. Think I will.

Another bright spot for progressives: of the Democratic losses, only three were part of the Democratic progressive caucus, while more than 20 of those who lost were "blue dog" conservative Dems.

So when you put the remark IN quotation marks, with attribution to the President, you WEREN'T quoting him?

Man, you were just on here lecturing people about how to use quotes. Seems you should have learned before your little attempt at pedagoguery.

I know what the President said. You only heard what Faux said, which have never had any kind of relationship to actual news or actual facts.
