Hello,

It seems odd that no one can explain the disorienting effect. One would imagine that the cause would be identifiable and fixable after detailed study. While I do not consider the Raptor to be the finest product of our arsenal, it seems a terrible waste for this affliction to continue undiagnosed and unrepaired. Not only is the loss of Raptor reliability a concern, but without knowing the cause of the problem, it is possible that other, more valuable elements of national defense may become compromised as well.

I hope they figure out the problem with the Raptor soon. A great deal has been invested in the program, and without a solution, it will prove to be nothing more than an expensive waste of resources.

It is a curious disorder, isn't it? The things he believes in one thread, he contradicts in another. And when questioned on this, or any other of his myriad contradictions, he insists that you must be making things up, or taking things out of context.

A very odd affliction indeed.

Hello,

Wrong Raptor, Mike.

But back to the original topic & article...

This seems to have become the norm with military procurement, doesn't it? Get the big lucrative contract, and then deliver something that *almost* lives up to the billing - then keep needing more and more money to get it right.

The Bradley, the Abrams, the Osprey, even the Harrier... The Nighthawk (aka "Wobbly Goblin"), the Spirit... the list goes on.

Cost overruns and shoddy product have become a way of life in the military-industrial complex.

I think our warriors need the best, especially in the current situation, one shotty shortcut is the difference between soldiers who make it home and soldiers who get killed by IEDs.

You don't know the half of it Mikey...

I have a chart of the process, but the SMALLEST legible size would probably stretch the thread so I'll only post it if asked to.
