Just interested...

Was it because the Tea Party has hijacked the Republicans?
Was he not right enought?
Did the visiousness of the Primaries undermine his standing?
Was it the rape comments by other Republicans?
Was it because he was a Mormon?
Was it the incumbency issue?
Did Obama run the superior campaign?

What are your thoughts?

ANTHONYT

Freedom is Important because People are Important

Hello,

I believe that most Americans are unhappy with Obama.

But the majority of Americans managed to be absolutely terrified of the GOP agenda alternative.

When choosing between warmongers, we prefer the warmongers who don't drool in anticipation of the kill.

When choosing between freedom thieves, we prefer those who pilfer a little rather than those who want to reave your mind, body, and soul and then gloat about the feat in public.

We like our leaders to lie about valuing us all, rather than admit that nearly half of us are a problem that should be ignored or tossed in a bin.

One party had the good sense to maintain the illusion of caring about us.

The other party boasted about wanting to have us for dinner.

One party promised a caring future, which sounds nice even if you suspect it might be a lie.

The other party promised a Darwinian battleground where the sheep share the field with wolves.

Between the devil who shows regret and pretends compassion, and the devil who cackles while feasting on your entrails, the American people made their choice.

When choosing a road to hell, why choose the road full of brambles and thorns and predators?

I don't like Obama. But I voted for him.

Because the alternative was even more terrible.

In my opinion.

Sometimes you own the libs. Sometimes, the libs own you.

Yes to most of your list Magons. Though certainly he wasn't 'not right enough'. Obama didn't outflank him on the right lol. Add to your list somewhere near the top:

1. Unemployment is high but is coming down, and people recognise this. People make too much of presidents not being re-elected with high unemployment - quite often it's the direction that counts.
2. Obama is a popular, well-liked president outside of the hysterical right. People like having him as their president. His handling of Sandy probably wasn't decisive but it re-enforced the idea that he is a good man, and leader.

It's not personal. It's just war.

America loves a winner!

He's a Republican in a deep blue state, so he had to morph into what his electorate wanted him to be, or he'd never have become governor in the 1st place

So, his past, which he really couldn't defend or run on became a huge handicap.

Even still, he IS a far better equipped mind to deal w/ international business issues than Obama could dream to even hope of being. Mitt , quite frankly, was one of the more uniquely qualified individuals to repair the crisis like we're in as this country has ever seen.

Sadly, the Jay-z, Snookie and Honey Boo-boo mentality that is the American electorate didn't fully grasp the real issues.

No. I don't watch " reality " t.v.

Top Shots , I found interesting, for a season or two. And Extreme Makeover : Home Edition, is worthy of my time, and maybe Pawn Stars. But that's the extent of my interest. Survivor, that Race thingy, Big Brother, Jersey Shore.... can all eat it, as far as I'm concerned.

And those 'stabs in the dark'... just another example of your 'StorybookFacts™' ?

My Top Ten Reasons Romney Lost

1) Picked the wrong VP running mate. Should have picked Rubio. I said here back in the Summer that Paul Ryan was "the last nail in the coffin."

2) Waited too long to fight back against the negative attack ads against him that ran un-opposed for months. The "narrative" was too well established.

3) Did not capitalize on first debate momentum. Chose to go small and play it safe afterwards, not understanding America's limited attention span.

4) Did absolutely nothing to attract African-Americans to his cause.

5) Did absolutley nothing to attract Hispanics to his cause.

6) Changed his position on abortion, and did not speak out strongly enough against the RNC Platform, Akin, and Mourdock.

7) Did absolutley nothing to attract Gays/Lesbians to his cause.

8) Was a Northeast moderate who passed universal healthcare as Governor. Couldn't escape or explain that while attacking Obamacare.

9) Had a politically fatal video of his "47% comment" that become a campaign issue that he couldn't defend or explain.

10) Had surrogates that attacked Obama on levels that were distasteful and disrespecful to a President with superior likeability.

It was about the threat that was Romney & Ryan, carpetbagging elitist lying scum. They, like most medium-intelligence/ultra-high ambition narcissists, work in short term to maximize return on time & money invested. America's problems need a sure, easy, measured long term repair. And that makes no one instantly richer, which is the goal of every psuedo-God fearing workaholic.
Obama is no saint, but by comparison, R&R were the bringers of the Zombie Apocalypse, that's why.

Uh... whatever. I already admitted I made it up, but thanks for playing the same tune again.

Funny, all this actual discussion about why Romney lost, and you fixate on the one completely made-up jokey reason. The one no-one was taking seriously.

Guess it hurts to face the facts about why you lost, huh?

Conspiracy site stuff has been a little crazy with Trump and Biden

The Secret Society of Utah, Joseph Smith the founder of Mormonism one time amassed an army of 5,000 armed men and then he had a plan to overthrow the United States government and turn it into a big inbreeding Mormon theocracy? Check out pictures of the Salt Lake City temple, and maybe you'll find Freemason and Occultish symbols all over it. John Doyle Lee an American pioneer and prominent early member of the Latter Day Saint Movement in Utah. Lee was convicted as a mass murderer for his complicity in the Mountain Meadows massacre, Lee liked inbreeders he practiced plural marriage and had nineteen wives (at least eleven of whom eventually left him) along with sixty-seven children, Jews and Arab muslim can be similar with practice of marrying multiple spouses, Canada has taken a strong stand against polygamy, and the Canadian Department of Justice has argued that polygyny is a violation of International Human Rights Law Bigamy is illegal in England and Britain but De facto polygamy having multiple partners at the same time is not a criminal offence so maybe the weird form of Mormon can grow in England?

but with Romney these conspiracy sites, they would go really go crazy. Joseph Smith, in the 1800's, supposedly had some visions long ago. Yes they are probably corrupted like that Pedo Royal family in England and the pedo crime ridden Roman Catholic Church and the Mormon inbreeds, they practiced polygamy and yes some not officially condoned still do today. Woudl America be called back into wars against the Mohammedans, the Mitt Romney’s Allegiance to Money and Degenerate Israeli Blackmailers? The rituals of Moromonism seem very similar to those initiated into certain sects and cults of Freemasonry, some pseudo-occult thing now as a sacrament? Mormonism is essentially an old Yankee Orthodox Religion, or New Americas Puritan, religion. It was founded a bunch of guys on the run from New York, people who suddenly found God and had 'Visions' then came more Puritan descendants. Both Joseph Smith and Brigham Young were New Englanders, they have tried to branch out in recent times become a world relgion but tie into historical events like 'Mountain Meadows Massacre' it has satrted to grown big in Brazil, England, Japan, Mexico, S.Africa and Australia but a lot of the stuff on South Park and crude jokes about LDS may be true.
Lots of talk about Mormons, Israel, Freemasonry and Christian cults already with this guys politics, Neo-Babylon Zion will be built upon the North American some of them said...as if places like Utah were not crazy enough.

Texe Marrs 1944 -2019 lerss crazy than other conspiracy guys he would talk about old Royal money family, the big banker names, Rome, Babylon etc
https://www.texemarrs.com/042012/romneys_allegiance.htm

One of the Mormon Latter Day Saints Guys he would talk spiritual beings through a magic rock, which he put into his top hat. Then of course he'd stick his face into the hat and see visions. He may have even drawn from New Age Cult of that day, the Kabbalah as a philosophy/theology is not original or unique to the Jews. Part of it is drawn from Greek philosophy, you have both Jew and Arab Gnosticism, Hermetism Part of it seems to be a cult, the Book of Mormon is more like Bible fanfiction, written by a Freemason. LDS Church includes among its traditional symbols the Star of David. They take elements from gnosticism, a lot of Masonic and Babylon, Pagan Occult symbolism.
