As long as Trump respects states rights, each state will be able to craft its own policies .... and may the state with the most accurate view of the future win.

I'm thinking that Second is the only one in here that could actually afford it, but why do I doubt she actually did it? What a stupid rebuttal. Your suggestion to deal with climate change by not buying product from polluter's, would mean no one would buy product from us. It's completely void of common sense and shows you are clueless as to how things work. And who the worst poluters are. It is not a valid approach to dealing with climate change Jack, which is a completely different issue than trade. This is a perfect example of how Trump voters think. It runs afoul of decisions made using educated and researched fact based evidence.

When we were a part of things like this you were still supporting climate change by buying products made in countries that were not a part of it. Look in your closet and tell me how many things you have that were made in China or another country reaping the benefits of not following accords.

Amazing score/soundtrack - truly great. ============================== You know... In real life I can't find a single person who likes Waterworld. I find out that 3 people on this board so far agree with me that it was a great flick. I said the score/soundtrack was great... but... I did like the movie. The thing is at one point in my life I decided to not be such an impossible person to please when it came to scifi/fantasy films. Too many jerks said their life was ruined by X director or Y movie when they had absolutely no understanding of what it takes to make even a bad movie. It doesn't mean I give mediocre things a pass or even say I like them. It just means I don't get as angry about it any more. Life is much better! Apart from the music, the Idea of Water World will always be the best part of the movie for me. And that boat of course! ==============================

But you have to realize by "fixing the economy" I don't mean adding more fiat dollars to meaningless GDP numbers. I mean re-industrializing the USA so that we produce as many essential goods as we have resources for, distributing production and goods so that each entity can sustain itself over the short term to cover disasters (for example, cities should be able to survive for two weeks on the basis of stored goods. This would cover natural disasters like Katrina, or a mega-quake in LA), balance our trade deficit, have enough jobs so that everyone who wants to work can earn a decent living, put the USA onto an environmentally- sustainable path, and reduce the wealth gap that's making a mockery of democracy. That's a tall order, but that's what's necessary if we really want to fix our economy! I doubt Trump will even be able to re-industrialize a small fraction of our economy.

And that boat of course! ============================== I think most people that don't like the flick only don't like it because it's been shit on for so many years by critics. I was 15 when I saw it, so my brother would have only been 13. I know he liked it when it came out. What 13 year old boy wouldn't have liked it? He laughs at me now when I talk about how good it was and says he can't stand it. I could see not thinking it was amazing, but how could anybody hate it? I'm not saying it was anything seriously deep, but it was great for what it was supposed to be. Just a big budget summer blockbuster, which at the time was the most expensive movie ever made. It was the pirate movie of my teenage years before the Pirates movies came out. It was Michael Bay before Michael Bay was a thing. It was like paying a few bucks to see a water show at Disney for poor people who couldn't actually ever afford to go to Disney.
