Pro-Trump Pastor Suggests Christians Should Be Suicide Bombers For Trump

A Christian pastor who supports Donald Trump recently delivered a sermon urging Christians to strengthen their passion and suggested they should be willing to die for their faith.

Regeneration Nashville pastor Kent Christmas has often spoken favorably of Trump, who is running his third presidential campaign and is the clear front-runner among a crowded field of GOP candidates. In last Sunday's sermon at his Pentecostal church in Tennessee, Christmas said the Muslim faith has become so successful because its followers are "willing to die for their beliefs."

The video was first reported by watchdog group Right Wing Watch, which tweeted the clip on Tuesday.

In it, Christmas is seen preaching vehemently as he paces the stage.

"You want to know why the Muslim faith has had its advancements? It's because the Muslims were willing to die for their beliefs. They were willing to strap bombs to their chest," he said.

Christmas then asked God to give the Christian faith some men and women with passion in their spirit who are willing to "lay down [their] life for the Gospel."

Newsweek reached out to Regeneration Nashville by email for comment.

Pro-Trump pastors have delivered thunderous sermons for years, often following the former president's rhetoric and preaching that the nation has been seized by "witchcraft." Trump often asserts on his Truth Social platform that the federal government is conducting a witch hunt against him, particularly after the Justice Department launched investigations into his handling of classified documents and his actions leading up to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

The first case recently brought an indictment that charges Trump with 37 felony counts. He is accused of mishandling sensitive presidential records by taking them after leaving office and then obstructing the government's efforts to get them back. Trump is the first former president to face federal charges, which he pleaded not guilty to during his arraignment this week.

Recently, Christmas doubled down on a purported prophecy that he said showed Trump is the rightful president despite President Joe Biden's election victory in 2020.

"In the eyes of God, the president of the United States right now in the courts of justice in Heaven is not Joe Biden but it's Donald Trump," Christmas said in a May 15 clip on Twitter shared by Right Wing Watch.

Michael Ferguson, a political strategist with PoliticalVIP, told Newsweek that Christian leaders may support Trump because they admire what the former president has accomplished, such as attracting major crowds and his ability to inspire his supporters.

"He created a movement back in 2015 and 2016 which has essentially stayed with him to this day, and his strongest supporters have been very loyal to Trump regardless of positive or negative events connected to him," Ferguson said. "Politically, Trump has been quite supportive of the Christian right, and so this certainly adds to why some Christian leaders may be attracted to helping him succeed."

Ferguson added that other GOP presidential candidates may be more aligned with Republican Christian voters, such as Mike Pence, but the former vice president "lacks the appeal and firebrand that Trump has."

"For some pastors, they may see in Trump what they hope they could be for their faith and feel partnering with him could prove to be most beneficial for them," Ferguson said.

Right Wing Watch's report about last Sunday's sermon said that Christmas was infuriated over what he falsely said was legislation approved in Vermont that makes it legal to "kill a baby" up to 21 days after a full-term birth.

"I am at war with evil," Christmas said in his sermon. "This is one preacher that is not backing down. I can tell you this: I will give my life for the Gospel."

He then asked God to provide other Christians who are willing to do the same.

Trump explains why he was treated worse than Abraham Lincoln — who was assassinated

For the second weekend in a row, Fox host Mark Levin continued showing videos of his conversation with Donald Trump. Among the things Trump thought the Fox audience needed to know is that he was treated worse than Abraham Lincoln, who was killed before leaving office.

Trump began by saying that former President Andrew Jackson was treated very badly after he broke previous treaties, stole land, and forced the march of Native Americans to "Indian Territory." That land was then taken from the Native tribes and became known as Oklahoma.

"Abraham Lincoln, they say, was, you know, he had a civil war going on," Trump educated Levin. "But Abraham Lincoln was just vilified. But now they say Trump got treated the worst of all."

He never explained who "they" were.

"Because what they did was come up with phony stuff. Russia, Russia, Russia. It was all hoaxes. The Mueller witch hunt, which turned out to be 'no collusion.'"

That isn't what Mueller found. He never looked into Trump's potential collusion with Russia. What he did document were at least ten instances of obstruction of justice, which Trump has never been tried over.

"And they had the laptop, they could have figured that out because on the laptop, if you look at it, you could have figured that out easily," Trump said.

It's unclear what he was talking about, as there was never a "laptop" that belonged to Trump that was part of the Mueller probe. It's possible that it was classified information, but it never made it into the Mueller report. He might be confused about the laptop that was just seized from his staffer involved in the classified documents scandal.

Lincoln was reelected in his second bid for president, unlike Trump. It was the following year that he was shot by actor John Wilkes Booth.

What Is Fascism?

A century of attempts to define and whitewash Fascism

Are you confused about the meaning of Fascism? If so, you're not alone. Benito Mussolini, the creator of Fascism, famously did not define it until 1932. With Nazis once again making news in America and a neo-Fascist as Italian head of state, I thought it was a good time to offer you an excerpt of an essay I wrote for a German publication on how the meaning of Fascism has changed over a century. I hope you find it useful.

“Everyone is sure they know what Fascism is,” writes Robert Paxton in his 2004 work The Anatomy of Fascism. Paxton gives perhaps the most comprehensive definition I have found, collapsing into one very long sentence many traits of Fascism:

“Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victim-hood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.”

The Jan. 6 coup attempt changed Paxton's mind about whether Donald Trump and Trumpism can be called Fascist. That brought Paxton into line with scholars such as Jason Stanley, who deems Fascism “a political method” that can appear anytime, anywhere, if conditions are right. This line of thought risks emptying the term of its historical specificity but is essential for understanding our new authoritarian age and the risks we face in America today.

Trump has long kept the Fascist flame burning in America. He started his 2016 campaign by retweeting a racist meme from the Nazi outlet The Daily Stormer (the publication of Andrew Anglin, whose Twitter account has just been restored by Elon Musk).

Trump brought Mussolini admirer and far-right operative Steve Bannon into the White House to launch his own “revolution of reaction.” In 2017 his administration gave Holocaust deniers a big gift: a Holocaust Remembrance Day statement that made no mention of Jews.

The GOP politicians who now feign outrage at Trump's association with Nazis such as Nick Fuentes had no problem with his mainstreaming of extremism, perhaps because some of them are extremists themselves (Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene have appeared with Fuentes).

It’s time to accept that the GOP, which was complicit with Trump's Jan. 6 attempted authoritarian takeover, has become a party that furthers Fascist values and practices. That means the hate crimes that have skyrocketed in America since 2016 will likely continue to expand.

However we define Fascism, remembering that its essence is violence is more important than ever.

Donald Trump, who claimed to only hire the best people, was thoroughly asked why so many key players of his administration do not want him to be president again.

• Donald Trump appeared on Fox News with anchor Bret Baier on Monday.

• Baier reminded Trump he said he was going to hire the "best" people to his administration in 2016.

• He then pointed out much of Trump's former administration doesn't support his 2024 White House bid.

Baier then pointed out to the former president that many of those "best and most serious people" no longer support him:

This time, your Vice President Mike Pence is running against you. Your ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, she's running against you. Your former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, said he's not supporting you.

You mentioned National Security Adviser John Bolton. He's not supporting you either. You mentioned Attorney General Bill Barr. Says you shouldn't be president again. Calls you 'the consummate narcissist' and 'troubled man.' You recently called Barr a 'gutless pig.'"

Your second defense secretary is not supporting you. Called you irresponsible. This week, you called your White House Chief of Staff John Kelly 'weak and ineffective' and 'born with a very small brain.' You called your acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney a 'born loser.' You called your first Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, 'dumb as a rock,' and your first Defense Secretary, James Mattis, 'the world's most overrated general.' You called your White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany 'milquetoast.'

And multiple times, you've referred to your Transportation secretary, Elaine Chao, as 'Mitch McConnell's China-loving wife.'

"So, why did you hire all of them in the first place?" Baier asked.

Trump responded by pointing to unnamed people who were "phenomenal" for the economy in his administration.

If either party can claim both the White House and Congress in next fall’s elections, there’s a huge prize for the taking: Unchecked power to reshape taxes for millions of Americans.

Much of the GOP’s sweeping Trump-era tax breaks are set to expire in 2025, which will almost certainly push Congress to act on their future. So the 2024 campaign will determine whether Republicans can keep the cuts, Democrats can rewrite them — or, if neither party gets a clean sweep, whether a split government prompts a massive fiscal collision.

The ability to mold the country’s tax structure may not ever become the primary focus of the presidential campaign or the battle for Congress. Yet both Democrats and Republicans are actively strategizing over how to handle the very real consequences of the tax cliff.

First, though, one party has to try to win it all.

”Anything at this point would be a wish list. Because it depends on what happens in 2024. It’s huge stakes,” said Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). “You almost have to win all three branches: House, Senate and presidency.”

Both the House and Senate could remain closely divided in two years, but remaking tax policy can happen with simple majority votes thanks to congressional budget rules. That’s how a 50-50 Democratic Senate managed to impose a new corporate minimum tax last year, and how a 52-48 GOP Senate passed 2017’s massive tax law. It’s enough to raise the stakes of every single congressional campaign next year, because one or two House or Senate seats could make the difference between tax gridlock or one party rewriting the entire code.

Those objections included: “the inexperience of the Affinity Fund management”; the possibility that the kingdom would be responsible for “the bulk of the investment and risk”; due diligence on the fledgling firm’s operations that found them “unsatisfactory in all aspects”; a proposed asset management fee that “seems excessive”; and “public relations risks” from Mr. Kushner’s prior role as a senior adviser to his father-in-law, former President Donald J. Trump, according to minutes of the panel’s meeting last June 30.

But days later the full board of the $620 billion Public Investment Fund — led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler and a beneficiary of Mr. Kushner’s support when he worked as a White House adviser — overruled the panel.

Ethics experts say that such a deal creates the appearance of potential payback for Mr. Kushner’s actions in the White House — or of a bid for future favor if Mr. Trump seeks and wins another presidential term in 2024.

When you realize Jared had 0 experience at running an investment firm, which is the reason the Saudis claimed to have given him the money, to invest on their behalf, the question as to why they actually gave him the money answers itself. To get back to the topic of this thread, the coming elections 2024, I’ll post an opinion.

Do not underestimate the effect that overturning Roe v. Wade is going to have on the elections. I heard this morning the democrats believe this will gain them 3 senate seats. The horror stories of women being denied health care while pregnant are piling up. And for the next year, every time women get together, they will be talking about this. Every time they speak on the phone, they will be talking about this. Every time they go on the internet, turn on the news or radio in their cars, they will hear about this.

They will be making sure the men in their lives get an earful. And remember, men are starting to wake up to the fact, no abortion, then 18 years of childcare payments are in their future.

Guns too, are showing up in conversations had by women. What's the point republicans?
