About time to end the fiction that the war in Ukraine is "Russia v Ukraine". NATO and the EU are putting everything they can, short of official boots on the ground, into "Project: Destroy Russia".

The truth will out.

NATO Head Says "Wartime Mindset" Needed; Redirect "Pensions, Health, Social Security" To Military Spending

Former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, who was this year selected as the Secretary General of NATO, has stated that Europeans need to “shift to a wartime mindset” and that military spending must be increased, likely at the expense of things like health care.

Rutte made the remarks at, ironically, a meeting of The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Brussels, declaring that Russia is trying to “crush our freedom and way of life.”

“Hostile actions against Allied countries are real and accelerating… These attacks are not just isolated incidents. They are the result of a coordinated campaign to destabilise our societies and discourage us from supporting Ukraine,” he added.

I guess Russia attacked some European nations?

Quote:

Rutte further asserted that Russia is using unconventional “hybrid warfare” attacks against Europe, circumventing NATO’s traditional defence and bringing “the front line to our front doors. Even into our homes” .

“Ukrainians are fighting against Russian swarms of drones. That’s what we need to be prepared for”, Rutte told the conference.

No examples of this anywhere.

...

Rutte’s call to institute a wartime mindset among Europeans was also recently echoed by Admiral Rob Bauer, the most senior military officer at NATO who said that “luxuries” will have to be sacrificed for freedom.

“If you ramp up your deterrence and if you ramp up support to Ukraine, nthere will be less money to spend on other things. It will take away some of our luxuries, it will require sacrifice,” Bauer stated.

Yes, so according to Rutte, Europe should expect a Russian invasion any day now? Maybe Russia will send their drones into people's homes?

Notice how Admiral Bauer conflates deterrence with "supporting Ukraine"?

So much hysteria. I hope nobody believes this bullshit.

But it seems like the EU and NATO are doing a pretty good job of crushing the "European way of life" all on their own, based on the hysteria they've been fed.

JAYNEZTOWN

Old Empires have been dying or died off, the French Empire, the British Empire, the USSR.

The new Russia is basically dying like the old Empires, its got the same issues of 'wartime economy' and worse, it is a full on war economy with tech exports going backward, its losing its men and Russia's buddies are Belarus, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea. Its not terrible tough Russia can barter it is a big country with resources to trade.

Not quiet Sri Lanka level collapse but Russia is among pariah outcasts

Even with the Western sanctions the advantage is Russia has minerals, gas other resources that the world wants so can trade old school style.

The Russians risk falling behind India not just behind Brazil or China

it will be one of the economically weaker leaders of 'BRICS'

There are other players arriving outside of the USA, NAFTA, EU, the ASEAN the
APEC group or Asia Pacific Economics.

What Does Ruble's Sharp Fall Mean for Russia's Economy?

having hundreds of thousands of Russian men half blown up won't do much for their 'health care'

its like both 'The West' and Russia are racing to the bottom

With the war ongoing that Russian economy is in a very dire state, even worse, you could argue Ukraine is in a worse situation than Russia.

a lot of civilians died in Iraq but the USA only lost approximately 4,400 US troops were killed there are other injuries, 31,994 wounded in action WIA but that's over a 20 year period

independent Russian media project iStories, citing sources close to the Kremlin, reported that more than 90,000 Russian soldiers had been killed, seriously wounded, or gone missing in Ukraine

TRANSLATION OF NATO STATEMENT: GIVE US MORE MONEY!

*****

JAYNZE, you're wrong about Russia.

The only reason why other nations are afraid to trade with Russia is bc of the risk of secondary sanctions by the USA. The USA is bullying much of the world, and it's the USA that risks becoming a pariah state.

Meanwhile, most EU nations have slit their economic risks on the altar of globalism. They've welcomed millions of culturally and educationally incompatible migrants, which they're finding impossible to assimilate. They've cut themselves from cheap reliable energy, chasing two phantoms: green energy and "destroy Russia".

Now they're running like lemmings to throw money into a military buildup that would have been completely unnecessary if they simply had not threatened Russia by expanding NATO eastward and engineering regime change operations on Russia's border.

Russia doesn't want an empire. They want border security. Once western policy makers stop their hysteria, self-serving propaganda, and hallucinatory impulses; and come to the realization that Russia is just seeking security, they can come to a real security solution for themselves as well.
