The Event Window has opened this year to include April and May but if you want to run either a full Screening or an Affilate (smaller) event during either of those 2 months, you have to get a Registration in by Feb. 28. The deadline for June/July events in March 31st. We've raised over $800,000 in the last 7 years and had a lot of fun doing so. We get new cities and groups coming onboard every year. Join us!

My Browncoat chapter (PDX Browncoats) does it every year, I always help though I don't enjoy the film, I'm a love the show don't like the movie kind of gal, so I stay at the table during the screening itself, its a fun event and lots of people come out for it, we always show something before hand, an episode or DR. Horrible, etc. and we have a raffle each year, this last year we even had a short concert by a local geeky band.

This year Dave Catoe, our fearless leader, has managed to get permission for the events to show a lot of cool videos. The intro video which we show every year before the movie also has some special content this year.

Is there an event near you? Go to it. If there isn't, think of having one. They are lots of fun and can be as big or small as you want. Have a BBQ, run a trivia quiz, have a costume contest. Last year it seemed as though every city in the UK that had an event had the most amazing Firefly inspired cupcakes! And for some reason, yet unexplained, they didn't send any to the Global Team for taste testing......

We just finished a great weekend celebrating Joss's Birthday with many CSTS events. But it's not too late to have one this year! Deadline for Aug events is June 30 and for Sept events it is July 31st. If you think you might want to have either a full screening or an Affiliate event, then check out Cantstoptheserenity.com where you can get all the details.

Next week, on June 29 there is a screening in Toronto Canada and an affiliate event in Charlotte where people will be seeing Much Ado before heading off to a shindig.
