It's EARLY Monday morning; we got a new puppy yesterday and she got me up at 4AM to go outside; She's an adorable little thing; Toy Fox Terrier...all our other dogs are delighted with the new addition...I'll need a nap later to catch up on my sleep. Smallish droppings, though!!

We have a river and a lake at the edge of our field; thanks to the remnants of 'Delta' but we still have power so that's good.

Good for you, THG!! We voted in person in early voting; took a few hours, but we got it done.
It's a very sad day here; as my new puppy died last evening; our vet said it looked like a congenital defect. We have cried many tears and will cry more. But she died in my arms and I hope she knows she was loved.

My husband had our vet do a necropsy on our puppy; she found that her heart was three times normal size, so nothing could have been done to save her. It's still so, so hard.

Oh, thank you THG. We only had her for two weeks, but she had wrapped herself around our hearts and left us broken. At lease we know it was nothing we did; her enlarged heart would have killed her eventually. But it's just a terrible, terrible thing. We picked up her ashes Friday and, in a sense, she is home again.
