Last week's issue of Entertainment Weekly had a section on movies coming out this year ... with no mention of Serenity. However, this email was in the mail section of the current EW:

Quote:

The 2005 Forecast Issue was great, but where was Serenity? Fans of sci-fi and Joss Whedon are anxiously awaiting this movie based on the TV series Firefly. The release date was moved to September. EW could have thrown us a bone!

Diane, I love you!

Diane, wherever and whoever you are, you are now an official Browncoat hero!

I have heard of a place where humans do battle in a ring of Jell-O.

Heh. She probably already is.

There was a thread here when the Preview came out, bunch of people wrote in. Stands to reason that one of the Browncoats made it past security.

Bwah.

Oh, there was a thread a few days ago, someone reporting that their letter would be in EW. But my bad brain can't remember who it was.
Well, they done good, anyway. I stared at the word 'Serenity' in my EW like a big transfixed dork, for aboout a whole minute. I love to see fans lovin' this thing, outside the net and in the real world. Shiny...

Me too! Seeing people on the Internet who are obsessed is fine and all, but seeing mention of the movie in a mainstream magazine makes me feel a little less like a lunatic.

Yes! Good! Someone beat me to this! I got mine in the mail Friday and just about fell down the stairs once I saw that! Awesome! We better get an EW article or something before the movie drops!

Coool!!! I must not have received that one yet! The most recent one I got (last week) did not have anything like that in it. The issue I got since the forecast issue, is with Hilary Swank & Clint Eastwood on the cover (#109, I'm guessing, since the forecast issue was #108).

I'm the one that posted the initial thread about Serenity missing (here and at the official Browncoats board)

I'm thrilled that someone who wrote in got published!!
