I've just read Jewel's latest 'Dear Roj' - really glad to see she had a good time at Serenity, it was so great seeing her and listening to her in the talks. Oh and she talked about the wash-o-saurus! She must have posted as soon as she got home!

Anyway she mentioned that she's going to guest in Stargate Atlantis, which is making me look forward to watching the new series even more (When it eventually makes it over to the UK, probably after the BDM opens). Does anyone know of any info on the character she'll be playing?
Hopefully she'll enjoy working with the Atlantis team and this might lead some stargate fans who haven't yet found firefly in the direction of the film and series.

The one thing that caught my eye is that due to her guest spot on SG: Atlantis she won't be able to make the Seattle screening as planned, which leads me to believe some of the other BDHs might be at some of the other ones. My hope is that either Alan or Summer are in Austin, since both of them grew up in Texas.

I think that Jewel's note about SGA is the first that anyone's heard about it. I just posted it up in the gateworld forums, so I think that they'll look into it in a bit.
Keep an eye on Gateworld.net, they're probably the best Stargate site out there.

Atlantis has already aired in the UK, they got it before we did.

Yeah I hadn't heard of it anywhere else but Gateworld's 'lost' all news since the end of January, hopefully they'll be able to sort that out soon and get the news articles back up.

My memory problems are bad at the minute but the way it works is that for the first half of the season the US is ahead of the UK airing Stargate and Atlantis, they start in July, we start in Sept. then in December UK overtakes and for the last half of the season the UK premieres first.

It is a real shame she's going to have to miss the Seattle screening, maybe they'll have someone take her place though?

Jewel is going to be in Stargate Atlantis?!? How shiny is that!

I like SGA. Been watching it all along, but knowing Jewel will have a guest spot will definitely keep me tuned in.
