Quote: Originally posted by SergeantX For those of you too young to remember, in most cities Star Wars opened only as exclusive engagements at very few theaters. IN Kansas City it played at one theater for two months before it went into wide release. They knew they'd draw long lines of sci-fi fans and those lines, and the fanaticism they fostered, were tremendous publicity. I'm thinking they're trying to give us a chance to really beat the drums for Serenity. It seems to be working!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

It was cancelled. The film, is like the next evolution. But it won't be Firefly. This is what it is now. It would be nice if the series came back, but I think that may be unlikely. The film is designed to be the first in a trilogy of films. Then after that, would the cast be too old? We're talking, 6 or 7 years down the line here?
