I have not been one of the fortunate to see the BDM yet

, but was wondering what type of rating those who have seen it will think that it will get such as R, PG-13, PG, G perhaps? (if NC-17, please decribe in detail why.

just kidding).

I've read people on the Serenity board state that it is borderline PG-13 and R. Haven't seen the movie so can't really say myself.

I agree, if it remains unchanged from it's present state, which I don't think it will, PG-13.
Could have almost been a PG in my estimation. Was hoping for an R in some scenario's, but then, I have a dirty mind with a great imagination, so I made up for it.

Lets have a quick recap: lots of fighting, blood and guts (even more than the series had), dead bodies, and no sex or nudity (except if you count a few shirtless scenes from the male actors *drools*)

When I first walked out of the early screening with my mom and friend, our first impression was that it would be 'R' but now I think it will be 'PG-13'. I think Joss knows that an R rating will hurt the sales of the movie. So I think it will probably be PG-13 but its really kinda border line at the moment.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'm sure it will be PG-13. There is just minor profanity, no nudity, and the violence for the most part is implied, not shown directly. It is however very intense emotionally and I would not recommend it for pre-teens until the parent has seen it and decides for themselves.
