DREAMCATCHER2001

So I am still selling my one ticket to Albany (my username is crimsonsongbird on ebay) and it's practically what I paid for it. With that said, I have looked at Ebay today and there are a lot of people selling tickets for obscene prices. A lot of them are tricking ebay bidders into thinking they're getting tickets by saying they'll get a confirmation to pick up the tickets. But without a credit card, the tickets won't be released. I reported one of the sellers to Ebay, and you should too. Here's my message to Ebay Complaint Department

If you'd like to report, you can do so by going to EBAY.com
Report problems with other eBay members > Fraud concerns for sellers > The problem you're having with fraud isn't listed

Member or Item being reported: hunter1138

Message: I am emailing you in concern for all Ebay users trying to bid on tickets for the special advanced screenings of the movie Serenity. User "hunter1138" has several auctions pertaining to different theater locations for this screening. He is telling the potential bidders that he will email them a confirmation number to take to the box office to retrieve the tickets.

However Fandango and MovieTickets.com require the credit card in order to pick up the tickets. When someone buys tickets from Fandango and Movietickets.com, the confirmation page specifically notes that a credit card will be the only way to pick up the tickets as a means to decrease fraudulent purchases. I ask you to please investigate this issue.

Thank you
HMS

Well to be honest, if you have the print out Bar Coded sheet you dont need the CC it was paid for with. Only the ones that dont have the bar code do you need the CC for. I paid with my CC for my boston tickets on back on the 5th screening and All i had to do was give them my print out with the bar code on it.

i know that, but the seller is saying he'll email the confirmation number. A lot of the regal cinemas require cc. I was just stating from experience. Sorry. Hope no harm was done.

my experience was if I wanted to pick up seperate tickets to hand out before the screening I had to show my cc

just buyer beware on ebay-especially those out of town sellers

Also, I can kill you with my brain.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

When I went to the May 5 screening at a Regal Cinema in Austin, I presented the confirmation printout to the cashier, and she still asked for my credit card.

i heard on another thread that movietickets.com requires you to show the actual credit card, while fandango does not. also, some theaters might require it for fandango as well, all though loews boston common does not (i was at the may 5th screening and the 26th screening and just used the confirmation printout). so yeah, it's definitely sketchy to be selling them on ebay.
