I just saw a trailer for Firefly on SCIFI. It looked great. I wish the ads on FUX had been half as good. But I still had to wonder why it took so long for them to start advertising it.

I have a theory about that! I'm thinking that they'll promote Firefly as little as possible. Then if they still get good ratings, they'll know that the fans 'guerilla marketing' is working, and NOT promote Serenity as much as they might have! Or maybe I'm overestimating 'Versal.

I heard about the airings, but have yet to see a trailer. When's a good time to catch them?

I mean, assuming that I'm a movie snob and refuse to sit through made-for-scifi flicks like "Return of the Alien Snakehead Terror?"

QUICKSAND

I just watched 2 episodes of "Tripping the Rift" in a row, one of the few sci-fi shows I can stand.... in 60 minutes I saw ONE Firefly promo. It was freakin' sweet though.

After that was "Scare Tactics," and I saw no reason to suffer through that, even for something as great as Firefly.

Props to the promo dept, though. And how.

I had taken a day off to wait for a repair man. And saw the first few ads during Sliders.
