I completely missed it. I just wanted to know if the intro was included,("when the earth was used up" etc.) and being Serenity what was the last scene before part 2 next Friday?

No intros.
I believe those were put in by the Fu--I mean o--x network, against Joss's wishes.
Also, Sci-Fi is airing the Pilot in standard, not letterbox formation.
Booooooo!!! Hiiiiissssss!!
But it's good to see the BDHeroes back on the TV nonetheless.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

No intro, but then again, I don't think they ran with "Serenity" the first time either. We have to wait a couple of weeks to see if they run it before The Train Job or Bushwacked. Since they ran it full-screen rather than widescreen, perhaps they only have want FOX made available to them, although you would think Joss and Universal would want to present the best possible version.

The end scene of Part One was Mal opening the cryo chamber, seeing River, and saying, "Huh?"

Thanks for the Info.

2 of my friends are hung up on the Sci-Fi Friday night lineup, and they just started watching Firefly for the first time. I envy them.

The intros you speak of played before the episodes of Safe and Shindig. Books had an intro before Safe and then Mal had an intro before Shindig. There wasn't any intro before Serenity pilot episode.

Oh, and play Cantr II at www.cantr.net.

There were more episodes with intros than that. See this thread for a transcript of all 3 intros and the episodes they ran with:

I caught it a little way in when they were meeting with Badger.

I didn't realize that 7:00pm meant 6:00pm central.

Oh well I'll know to get off work earlier next Friday. I also didn't know they were only showing part 1 of Serenity.

They had some nice BDM commercials though. Pretty sweet.

Serenity part 1 is reairing this Fri at 6 eastern, right before part 2 so you can watch all of serenity at once.

I didn't watch it, are you saying they aired commercials for the movie Serenity during the tv Serenity?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I sat glued in front of Sci Fi channel all night Friday. I was there in front of the tv w/ the whole family & a big ol' pizza, chips, drinks, etc from the opening & refused to move while "Serenity" part one played.

Loved seeing Firefly on the small screen, though the full screen version took some getting used to.

Can't wait until this Friday.

I missed it too! Just sat there and watched "Attack of the Show" as per usual, then zoned on the first 14 minutes of whatever comes next ("X-Play"?), before the lightning bolt hit me and I jumped up frantically grabbing the remote, as though that would help me regain the lost 1 hour +.

Also forgot to DVR it (although I could've sworn I had); but, I figured, 'Oh, well. It's SciFi; they'll reshow it after the second showing of BSG, at midnight CDT'. Nope. It's still "Andromeda", which I thought SciFi had discontinued. So, totally screwed.

But, I'm catching it this week if I have to tie barbed wire around an appendage as a reminder...

Remorsefully,

zoid

Better than that, even. They showed commercials for the movie's trailer. "Next week is the broadcast premiere of the Serenity trailer!"

Never seen a commercial for a commercial before.

they screwed it up though and gave it an even worse time slot than the first time. 6pm CST? thats insane... people are in traffic or going out... a show as phenominal as this needs to be on tuesday nights at 8pm prime time

I think the reason it was put on Sci Fi Fridays is because it is a logical fit for Firefly to be grouped into their big Friday night line up. The best bet for roping in new fans is on the night the SG1, Stargate Atlantis, and BSG fans are watching. They have the same target demographics.

BADNLATIN

Saw it and had other people watching too :-). Also thats the first time I'd ever seen that odd thing at the end with like an outline of Serenity where the usual "Joss Whedon" would be at the end. Too bad about the full screen but I'm not complaining that much.
