I'm just curious how much folks here would want to pay for the SERENITY poster? I've done a search on Ebay and prices are kind of high but in some ways I know it would be worth it. Just an honest inquiry.

I reckon most people here would pay quite a lot for one - far more than its worth - would be really nice to have one though .. *wistful sigh!*

I have an old poster for Raiders of the Lost Arc framed in my room and it's one of my favourite posessions - reckon the Serenity poster would look mighty purty next to it ...

Depending on the size of the poster, I'd probably pay up to $100. How much is it going for on eBay?

Oh, it's going for much less that that. One sided for $12 (cheapest) and double sided for $19 (cheapest)

Well, like I said - it all depends on the size. Those $12 ones probably aren't theater-sized, are they?

A lot of the ones on eBay seem to be somebody just printing out the poster onto A4 paper.

*secret hopes the guy screws up and prints his Mal one instead*

What? Come on, remember that march of radical Muslims that had a Bert is Evil poster as a banner?

Dimensions are your basic poster. I know sometimes theater posters can be slightly bigger though.

I don't know what a "basic poster" is... 8" x 10"? 11" x 14"? Theater posters, of the sort I meant, are much bigger - anywhere from 2'x5' to 6'x10'.

I'd pay a pretty penny for an official "spooky river" version, not so much for the newfangled "sexy river" one though... :(

Jayne, your mouth is talkin. Might want to look into that.

I apologize. 27x40 is your average movie poster size.

I've purchased quite a few movie posters over the years...Jake just loves them. I usually try for teaser posters becasu that's waht he prefers...I find they are a bit more difficult to come by than the final theater versions. I'm hoping he will return the favor and find a Serenity poster for me.

They shouldn't cost too much. I think the most expensive one I got (Jake has paid a lot though) was $25 for LOTR:Two Towers teaser. Now if it were some special old movie poster I'd pay more. But there is no reason a new movie poster should cost $100.

I've been lucky with ebay for posters - but little else :0
I have a couple of the large, horizontal, heavy vinyl material (4' x 8' ?) banner posters that were $80 or less and arrived in nice shape - that's what I'm hoping for for Serenity. Have to wait for the movie to open first I guess.

I would (and incidentally, did) pay $18.95 for a double sided theatre poster. Unfortunately I have to add extra shipping into that since it would only deliver to the US and I've had to route the poster through a friend... totally worth it though! Now, if only I can figure out where the hell it's going to fit in my room *looks around*

PERIDIDDLE

I just bought a Serenity poster tonight on Ebay (via the Buy It Now option) for roughly $12, plus $6 for shipping. Not bad. According to the description, it had a slight, 1/4 inch tear...I don't really mind, I'll just tape it from the back and put it in a frame. :D

I don't know where I'll put it yet, but I feel I shall love this poster forever and ever...I don't think the $20 (though shipping seems to be about $6...) that the auctions are getting to is TOO bad, but if you wait a bit they might start getting cheaper/Buy It Now options will show up.
