Playing D&D last night and someone tried something stupid with theire character then realised what they'd done and said to the DM that that hadn't been a very good idea. DM replied, "Not so much".

a friend handed me a note with the kanji characters for "little light insect" on it. It is time to find an artist!
p.s. Yes, Channain, you're an artist I know, but you don't do tattoos do you?

draw a tattoo huh? sure. tatts are fancy line drawings for the skin, right? that shouldn't be a problem. i would like to see those kanji characters too and you know where I am--let's discuss!

as for actually having a tattoo, that would be a big NUH-UH! needles ulch although I am a big fan of the tattoo on Jayne's shoulder. freeze-frame it some time ("Bushwacked" is the best ep for that), and check out the symbol in the center

i don't know... but a while back she was the least like character in a poll.

i think she hot - and not just because she banged bester in the engine room.

i dig the way she eats fruit.

yes - i'm shallow. the only part i liked about matrix 2 ("worst matrix EVER!") was monica belluci and her plastic dress.... mmmm monica bellucci....

I have been thinking about what makes me think about Firefly, and I came to the conclusion that I make myself think about Firefly. I mean sure, I have people who talk about it with me in the course of my day, and I come here to get my fix. But it seems to be a conscious decision. I decide to think about Firefly, then I do it, and in the course of doing it I come here usually and get Firefly-overstimulation. It used to seem like I was the one in control of whether I thought about Firefly, instead of it being in control of me. Fortunately though, I thought about Firefly a lot of the time. I think about it a lot differently now. I think of abstract aspects of it besides what I used to think about. I used to think mainly just about the plot, but that seems to have faded away with the absence of new episodes. Now I think about it as a stand-alone piece of work, that can be studied as a fragmented whole. There is much to look at and argue about. The fact that there is so much stimulus here on FFF is usually overwhelming...

a sight, or a smell or something in the news or just the way an every day thought process is changed with "them as" or "and such." politics, the war, the abysmal conditions in Nigeria, how we treat each other in every day situations, the new conceal-carry law in Minnesota --ALL OF IT puts me smack into a Firefly frame of mind.

on the subject of conceal-carry (not objecting, just observing), the pastor of my church mentioned recently that they would need to put a sign out front: "Come in to Worship--leave your gun at the door."

KAYTHRYN

My conversation, just now, with my dad...

Dad: What are you doing?
Kaythryn: Posting.
Dad: Posting? Posts? Hun.
Kaythryn: Post holer. For digging holes for posts.
Dad: What?
Kaythryn: Oh, nothing.

I don't think he knows what posting is, nor do I think he caught the Firefly quote, so he's pretty much just confused.

Every time I see an ad for a new TV show that looks really awful, I'll turn to my husband and say "You know, they canceled Firefly for that." I must say it at least once every two weeks. Thank goodness for VCR's and DVD's!

And I think calling her that is an insult to the box of rocks community.

I tried to make and ice planet for my friends. Looked cool, but there is no possibly way to eat it on a string! No way! So I ended up eating it with a spoon and just picking the string out of my ice cream.

Important people don't do field work.

Ummm...my roommate isn't going to appreciate this, but he made me turn off Firefly so he could play Halo...Bastard...

Anyways, he kinda got lucky the other night...I was in the room, so I should now. He and this girl had "relations". Then they had them again. Meanwhile, under my covers, I'm seething angry because a) I want a drink of water and b) I want to watch TV. I heard them start to make out for a third time, and before I could stop myself, I sat up in bed, and said "Mouse! Take your prarie harpy and go somewhere else! Is there something wrong with HER bunk!"

He only laughed and asked if I wanted a cigarette.

I replied, it wasn't that good for me.

Kaylee: "What's so damn important about being proper? It don't mean nothing out here in the black."
Simon: "It means more out here. It's all I have..."
