1. Flightplan (2005) $24.6M $24.6M
2. Corpse Bride (2005) $20.1M $20.6M
3. Just Like Heaven (2005) $9.8M $30M
4. Roll Bounce (2005) $8M $8M
5. The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) $7.5M $62.3M
6. Lord of War (2005) $4.9M $17.2M
7. The 40 Year Old Virgin (2005) $4.3M $96.9M
8. The Constant Gardener (2005) $2.24M $27.6M
9. Transporter 2 (2005) $2.15M $39.8M
10. Cry_Wolf (2005) $2.1M $7.36M

So a bit of a disappointment for Corpse Bride in its first weekend of wide release and a not particularly dazzling display from Flightplan, a movie which is getting negative word of mouth (and 6.6 rating on IMDB).

This. Bodes. Well.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I just got back from seeing Corpse Bride, and while I enjoyed it, it certainly is not as good as Nightmare Before Christmas. It should be a good dvd pick, but it was lacking for a theatrical experience.

I agree, 100%. Saw C.B. this afternooon, and it wasn't anything special. I found it predictable. Kept wanting to be thrilled or surprised, but there just wasn't anything unique there. While the visuals were nice, it was not the movie going experience I expected.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "
