I don't know how many of you visit the official site, but Adam Baldwin is a regular poster there. It just so happens he's in Vancouver working on an episode of SG-1 and spending his spare time in internet cafes to keep up with the fans. It was brought to Adam's attention that one of the board regulars, Lux Lucre, lives in Vancouver. So, Adam got in touch with him and invited him out to a local bar for a couple of beers! As if that's not cool enough, Alan Tudyk was also in town filming 'I Robot' and dropped by. Here's a link to the thread...

http://forums.prospero.com/foxfirefly/messages/?msg=8299.137

Lux posted some pictures on his web site to boot. Lux is a cool guy and I couldn't think of a more deserving Firefly Fan. He was also kind enough to share some really interesting stories with the board, as well as some inside info on the series and the upcoming movie.(sounds like its definitely THE project Joss is working on). This show and its amazing cast are going to turn me into a fanboy yet! :)

Look for the story about the painting Alan's sister made for Joss.

Wow - did he post a link to the page you could share?

That's so awesome! Stuff like this is a part of what keeps us all hanging onto the show after this long. How could you not want more of such quality work done my such great people.

The Alliance said they were gonna waltz through Serenity Valley and we choked 'em with those words. We've done the impossible and that makes us mighty.

Be kind and considerate Browncoats and don't steal his bandwidth.

And I don't exactly have permission to post that think, tho I did ask.

Other highlights:

Lux: "About the future I can talk about. Looks like it will be a Universal studios project, and the script is still to be approved, but odds look good that the whole cast will be free to start filming this fall."

Lux: "Adam told me a lot of behind-the-scenes information about the show and why it got cancelled that I promised to keep confidential. Let me just say that those who think someone had it in for the show from the beginning were right."

Lux: "In the early days, just after Alan had gotten the nod to play Wash (hey did you know the guy who played Dobson was up for Wash?), alan wanted to give Joss a special present so he commisioned his sister who was a painter to paint a large portrait of Joss as a child clutching a glass jar containing a firefly in it, with dark men in suits mencing him from the shadows.

It was ment to be ironic, something they could look to years later an laugh as paranoa, but sadly it turned out to be all too real.

I suggested that Alan get a photo of it for the DVDs and he thought that would be a good idea."

Those pics are too cool - Goddess, I'd love to have been there! They both seem so nice.
How pleasant to hear GOOD stories about the people we enjoy watching perform, instead of stupid, nasty tabloid stuff.
That's awesome - I'm so excited about the movie I can't sit still!

I don't think words can describe just how jealous I am of Lux. Lucky man! Looks like he had a damn fine time though and that’s great.

I generally stay away from picking one, but at times I go with Eris, cause her religion is there when you need a belly laugh. (Humor is right up there with love and free will as a great gift.)

Thanks for the info!

I sometimes sneak over to that site to the area I know Adam sometimes posts in. I haven't been there in a few days so I missed this.

Loved the photos. Adam is such a ham!

I don't need Nathan, Adam and Alan to be great people. I just need them to be great actors. But how awesome that they are great people. You can't fake that stuff. Inviting a fan out for beers? I bet Adam bought, too.

Also, I've never gotten one byte from the official board, I always appreciate getting this kind of news. Thanks!
